[alive: M4D deal] jetbeam RRT1 950 Lumen

Interested!

Haha, I was being more sarcastic than anything. Who would have thought to look at Battery Junction when the info should have been in the OP? If it turns out to be an xpg3, I won’t order it. Isn’t that the old version at BJ and in the OP?

lol, me too brother

the info IS in the first post, but why rub it in?

and fwiw, no, both BJ and the OP are showing the new version
here is a visual aide

I signed up. Always liked these lights since I did an early mod on the original several years back, think updating an XML to an XM-L2.

I saw that post. The old one looks “fatter” to me, which is why I was confused

the old one is on the bottom

the new one is 1/8” larger diameter, and 26 grams heavier

Like the tail trit slots on the new one

I like the tail design too!

Humanized Tail maybe = HumanCentricDesigned Tail: use as a
Candle,
Lantern,
Nightlight,
Locator
Impress your Friends!

I wish I could buy the light with trits already installed!
(Im sure thats a logistical nightmare for the vendor… lol)

I ordered 3 of these during new year sale. https://www.fasttech.com/p/4159008
I’m just hoping they fit from the measurements I took.

Those slots are 12 mm long? I was think'n they were for the std 1.5x6 mm size, but from the pics, they have to be longer than 6 certainly, so probably the 12 mm size you ordered.

The new version looks much sexier to me. Too bad it’s likely way out of my budget, even with the group by discount.

The 2x12mm trit slots will not fit the RRT01 without modification, there a little to long. 2x10mm should fit fine.
More info here with pics. WTB: Jetbeam RRT01 – Any place to buy it?! + [RRT01 2019 discussion] - #261 by moderator007

Would 2.5x10 trits fit?

Not without grinding. Best I can tell the slots are 2.25mm in width. Seems they intended the slots to fit 2x10mm but the 2x12mm is more common at our usual oversea’s stores.

I’m interested.

Deal is alive - i mailed every email in the list

Interested. But may depend on the price…

Ordered, Thanks Martin

Can you confirm the bezel isn’t glued on the new version?

The bezel is not glued. Came off easily. The part of the head above the ring has a touch of loctite or something on it but, it was still pretty easy to get off. I just wrapped some tape around it and used some channel locks and it twisted right off. You can swap the emitter by just removing the bezel but, you gain some extra working room if you get that part above the ring off.
