They have real problems in the llast few month. My last 5 orders are on back order or they got cancled.
Especially very good deals with code are usually not in stock and more than ones get cancled 1 or 2 weeks later. I hope this is only a temp problem! If not i will have to find a different shop to spend my money.
Best example is a screenshot of this mail i got today.

I got the same e-mail about my order (Convoy L6 XHP 70.2). They cancelled it without asking me. After 3 weeks of waiting…

I have the impression they accumulated tons of orders during the CNY, and are having a lot of troubles fulfilling them.

Maybe they should have stopped orders during that period, but they didn’t.

And another +1 from me. From several last orders more than half got delayed. I’m still waiting for quite a long time for 4 orders and one got cancelled after 3 weeks of waiting.

They gave me the option to wait or a refund. I chose to wait. The expected arrival date was 3-6-2019 or so.

They have not cancelled my order. Just checked it. Guess I will find out in a week or so if it comes into stock. They also let me choose how long I was willing to wait. I picked a date close to April 1. I am not in a hurry.

My great deal on a Convoy L2 never materialized after a month of waiting so I cancelled. After a couple of days of no refund I live chatted them . The refund came the next day. I think also that the CNY got the best of them and also their suppliers. The ordering protocol could definitely use some work though. It would avoid bad feelings.

Recently my buddy wanted to get a Q8. I told him I knew of a coupon so I could get it at a good price. So he threw me the cash and I went home to order it for him. Add it to my cart, apply coupon, wait for package. 7 days later I get the back ordered email and get the 24hrs to respond to get a refund. I responded to the email and got a refund 5 days later.

Gave my buddy back his money and told him the story. He was fine with it and I thought nothing more of it. Well his wife wanted to do something nice for him so two days later she gets on BG and orders it at the regular price, no coupon. Shows up at the door 2 weeks later.

Order with a coupon for a cheap price, back ordered. Order at regular price, shipped next day.

Guess you can figure out where I won’t be ordering from.

Sure…why not skewer my next purchases! Up here, Amazon.ca is usually way more expensive on flashlight. Amazon.com charges a lot to to get it across the border.

So I was warming up to buy from Banggood….and now this.

^^^^^^THIS – New year – new way of doing business for Banggood. have 5 examples of this from this year – the better the coupon the more likely it will be ‘processing’ until ‘out of stock’ or ‘canceled’….and then you get to wait for them to give you your money back for a week.

We all (mostly) seem to be having problems lately with them.
I have 5 items now on Back oder.
Sold as In stock. Waiting. waiting.
“Hmm we having problems”. Wait or Refund. I chose wait..

They STILL have those items on pages as IN stock????.
but didn’t reply to my question about such.
$80 odd AUD on hold so to speak.

I’m putting it down to CNY and lack of management. Hopefully they’ll sort themselves out.

I’ve been using them a while now with absolutely NO problems. Let’s hope they return to that.

Todd, you are lucky to get refund. I am still waiting on the Convoy L6 $38.99 back in Jan when I did the same thing for my buddy.

BTW, Was the L6 Convoy sold on BG for $38.99 the XHP70.2 Version? Just curious.

Just had the same thing happen 2 days ago with Gearbest backorder on my Skilhunt H03. Three weeks in they said they were unable to get the product and could get a similar item and pay the difference (let them know what I chose), or a refund. Asked for a refund and got it the next day. I wonder if it’s all related to Chinese New Year which ended not long back.

Similar situation with fasttech. I ordered reflectors that had inventory info as ‘in stock’ feb 27th. Item inventory info now shows expected delivery march 4th.

Banggood – recommended for buyers who don’t mind an endless wait and continuous excuses for not dealing with defective items.
Fasttech – recommended for buyers who like to wait long periods with ever changing arrival dates for items that were ‘in stock’ when ordered.

@mmalive Yes there was a code which would bring down the price of the L6 XHP 70.2 to ca. 40 USD.
Too good to be true when they cancel the order eventually anyway.

I’ve ordered quite a bit from them, it’s always a crapshoot how it will turn out.
At the risk of sounding bigoted or prejudiced -
When ordering from China, you have to realize the culture of the marketplace over there. It’s NOTHING like the Western world. On the one hand, it makes me really angry for the small businessman or woman who wants to run an honest business. The manufacturing and marketing practices almost guarantee they can’t remain competitive unless they find a way (like others) to cheat the system.
On the other hand, it makes me furious that China is a world power and can’t get their act together on this.
According to my friends who do business regularly there –
It’s all because of the trade agreements set up with the U.S. and other countries in 1978. In 1947, EU countries and most of the Western world began what was truly the first global economy. China, however, did not come to the table at that time. Fast forward to 1978, and China’s economy is in crisis mode, people starving, health and technology and industry standards languishing far behind the rest of the world.
As a gesture of good faith, the US entered trade agreements with China to help bolster their own industry and GNP. Tariffs and taxes were lifted, costs subsidized, but Part of the agreement was that western businesses could only sell in China if they agreed to turn over all rights to technology, patent-free. It’s where the term “Chinese knock off” comes from!
So, China begins to rebuild an economy based almost solely on cheap products from the U.S. in which they would take the patents and reproduce them cheaply for $1 a day labor, then undersell the companies that were exporting their.
Imagine the frenzy of a billion starving, desperate Chinese workers and entrepreneurs as cheap manufacturing began to pick up! The only limitation was how fast you could get a knock off to market. US exports cool “widget A” to China and loses money on it, there is a race from 1000 Chinese small manufacturing companies to reverse engineer it and build it more cheaply then rush it to market. Built on the excitement in China over the cool new American-made Widget A, the first company to get it into the hands of the people made a small fortune. With that capital, it was on to the next product.
Incredibly cut-throat, and what you may notice is that there is NO incentive for quality control, customer service or long term customer satisfaction.

Fast forward to today, and times have begun to change a bit. China has progressed to the point off producingbtheir own technology and are a leading R&D nation. They are creating their own companies and original products, and are economically well off (as a nation).
Two problems – the small businesses of today were still formed and are led by people who grew up in the cut throat, race to market culture, and it shapes their business practices tremendously. That’s why Bangood seems only concerned with the “sale”, and by western standards seem to not give a damn about the customer.
The second problem is that these trade agreements from 1978 are still in place. Now that China is firmly back on their feet, the incredible unfairness of the agreements is mind boggling. We can exert no tariffs on their products, while US exports to China are tarrifed heavily. But the biggest is the idea that there is no such thing as intellectual property ownership. They can “steal” whatever they want in technology and manufacturing and make it their own, and it’s legal under the old trade agreements.

This is why the U.S. government is fighting to abolish these old agreements and form new ones that better reflect fair trade.

Meanwhile – Bangood rushes a product to market with great advertising and worldwide exposure, while the product itself may be FAR from ready for sale. We all send them our money, expecting to enter a mutually happy trade agreement, but in reality Bangood has taken our cash and is already all in on the next product they will be rushing to sell.
When we email or message them about a problem with the product we JUST received (or NEVER received), they’re probably like, “Whut?!? We don’t even remember selling that product”.
(An exaggeration, but you get the point).
