Opinel No. 6 is the exact same weight and it’s a no compromise small knife.

Thanks! It’s a great fidget knife. Not the strongest knife but very fun to play with and handles the light duty use I put it through with ease.

Got the pocket rocket out today… Really really sharp and pointy tip, no joke be careful the back of the blade will slice you Shocked

Would you still buy it again now that you’ve had a chance to play around with it?

Over been eyeballing it, but typically I dont spend more that $50-60 for knives. This is very stylish and seems like it has rapid deployment. Anything you don’t like about it?

I have been really enjoying this blade. That being said I consider it more of a fidget toy than a knife. Just last night I was flicking it for an hour straight while just hanging out on the couch, no TV, no phone, just zoned out in thought and and the soothing flipping action of the knife.

I’m a very light user and of course it can handle opening the envelopes and boxes at work but if I’m going to break down a bunch of cardboard I’d prefer something more stout.

Overall it’s a fun knife and cheap compared to a Brad Zinker custom but still slightly over priced @ $120 IMO (because Brad has to get his cut Wink ). I’d feel better about recommending it if it was under $100. If you want a “working” knife I’d pass, if you want something fun it’s worth a look.

I have been looking at it, not sure that I am willing to drop that coin on it or not.

Yes, there’s some size and weight difference compared to the smaller version for sure! Smile

Nice looking knife. Thumbs Up Love the scales.
Is it a Spyderco or a clone?

It’s a clone. I wasn’t prepared for how big it is however. Not that I dislike it but, I should have paid more attention to weight and dimensions. It’s found a good home in a go bag. I would need bigger britches to tote that thing around, suspenders maybe as well. Smile

Thanks for that info. That does sound rather large for pocket carry on a regular basis. Big Smile
I am gonna take a closer look at the smaller one…..

I really wanted to like this one, but ugh it just feels SO cheap. I don’t know if the one’s they sell with higher end materials have a better action but this certainly doesn’t have the fidget factor I enjoy in a knife.

I’ve looked everywhere I know to look for this one but can’t find it. Facepalm

What is it & where can I find it? Link appreciated if ya’ have it. Wink

@ rcwiily: What do you mean by “fidget factor”??

Is the action not smooth? Is the build quality crap? Fit n’ finish bad?

I’d really like to know, because this one is “calling” to me. Cash

I like knives that are fun to open and close and just keep my hands busy. This guy is painful to release the liner lock on and the muted plastic sounds give it an overall unsatisfying feeling.

The scales look and feel like cheap plastic. It has ceramic bearings but they are housed in nylon washers so the action feels mushy.
