Something is not right with banggood and shipping times..

sent mail, 4 days now no money and they dont answer… do i really have to make a paypal claim ? what do they think holding my money will gain them anything i dont get it why they do this ? :person_facepalming:

Ahh, so it’s not only me then. Order from the very beginning of March and still no show. I usually receive orders from then in 10 days.

I filed a paypal complaint regarding the defective xhp70 in the L6 I received from banggood. Their reply was to wait another day. Several days later no further replies. After starting the paypal dispute I sent a pm to simon explaining the situation and he offered to send a replacement.

While I appreciate the offer, I’m not sure how to proceed. Banggood bears some responsibility for possibly knowingly selling a defective item.

If a storekeeper mishandles milk then sells the soured milk, is the farmer responsible?

they are responsible, if the light arrived broken demand a refund nothing else. im just happy i got my refund back today after 5 days wait.

Good question, I am not aware of any consumer protection laws that would protect you or help you in this case when buying goods directly from Chinese sellers. I wonder if it makes difference that Bangood’s paypal account says “London”.

I would continue with the Paypal dispute which gives you some kind of assurance in their complex agreement and if it fails and you paid with a credit card you have at least 2 statement periods to file a dispute as well.
Or did you just paid with Paypal funds, or bank account?

Regarding the storekeeper/farmer dilemma, I think in general, the seller doing business in Ohio or most other states bares all the responsibility for the goods sold. So in this case BG would be responsible for a “not as described” or “arrived damaged” item,

The farmer is not responsible in this case because he was not involved in the offer or contract at all. And it would be up to BG to deal with the farmer Simon regarding the repairs or exchange, not the consumer.

The fact that Simon offered to send a replacement is beyond the letter of the law, so his kindness is going above and beyond to protect his reputation and goodwill.

My situation is as follows - I ordered a second Lumintop EDC05 on the 1st of February this year, paying for insurance but no tracking. It was shipped on the 4th of Feb. Orders from Banggood have always arrived in the UK ~2 weeks after shipping; when this didn't happen my eyebrows raised but I decided to wait. So I waited over the weekend and when it had not arrive on the Saturday or Monday I contacted them again and they responded a couple days later on Wednesday stating - [quote]

So I confirmed the address and asked them if they were being serious about waiting another 25 days, and kindly requested an alternative. They sent me this reply today -

This is a first for me. I had no idea about the 60 days thing. I don't think it's acceptable but I feel on this occasion I'll just wait. I paid for it using Paypal, of course, and so there is the protection there. Also, I'm seeing above that people haven't received their order after 3 months, which is insane.

I dont know what u can do, longest i waited for stuff from china was something like 2 months or something, thought it was lost and then one day arrived. if u chose the normal free shipping then its a gamble sadly, many times its work ok and sometimes it can take months for stuff to arrive for some reason.

must suck to live in brazil wow, 120 days they state maximum wait? thats insane… one month is long wow…. :person_facepalming:

Yea, I think you’re right. It is indeed a gamble and I have been lucky. I’ll wait it out for another month and see if it arrives.

one BG i always pay a little extra and go for priority direct mail, thats usually way faster and comes with tracking and u avoid the customs from chinese sellers since it doesnt look like its coming from china. Good thing u are atleast covered with paypal even if they make u wait another 25 days u can do a claim longer then that.

Funny you mentioned that they changed the shipping date. I just went back and noticed the same thing. A package that already shipped , has a “Shipped date” that suddenly changed and a tracking number that showed up. I chose shipping without tracking, so I wonder what that tracking number means.

Did Banggood send me trash instead of a Samsung 30Q?

After 20 hours of charging, the brand new Pink 18650 one is still dead 0Volts,
I tried to reposition so the button top gets good contact, switched sides etc…

The red one is a salvage maybe 15-20 yeaars old and charged no problem and shows 4.13V on a multimeter,

^ I recall reading recently about this, and I believe there was a very thin plastic film around the pole(s). You might want to check that out.

Can the positive pole be a thin transparent film?

Sooo, it is not dead caramba. The charger has never recognized it because of the thin plastic & no charging has taken place in all those hours of sitting there. :wink:

Banggood shipping to Australia was very good. About 2 weeks.
Now I have 2 orders supposed to have shipped on 03 Feb & no delivery as at 15 Mar.
Definitely something going on with their shipping.

weird, do u even have a tracking number or is it free shipping ?
