Lumintop GT micro

Okay, freshly charged Windyfire. It ran on Turbo right at 3:30 then stepped down in brightness. It was quite hot. I went back to Turbo and it stepped down after 30 seconds. So thermal management is doing it’s job.

Battery showed to be at 3.81 volts. 4 minutes of Turbo really puts a whooping on this 14500! Lol. It’s probably best to use the Top of Ramp instead of Turbo if you want much longer run times and cooler temps.

I decided to film it since I don’t think there’s many videos of the Micro. Why not?

I guess my Micro's bezel is glued up - can't budge it through normal means, like with a good pair of sticky gloves. Anyone else try yet?

Anyone know if they all have the bezels glued? It was supposed to be the same as the Mini - at least what Martin said here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/54245/133

I got 2 Mini's - both not glued at the bezel.

ah cool thanks for video fun to see, wow poor cell it didnt last many minutes

Both versions should have glued bezels. Unfortunately.

I got 2 Mini’s & 1 Mini head…. all three glued tight as a drum…. :person_facepalming:
You got lucky with your two it seems TomE…. :+1: …

My mini was glued pretty solid.

the samples Neal uses to send are often preproduction without glue

Now you guys got me think'n - did I break the seals on the 2 minis and clean them up? Maybe I should check my notes. Right now, the 2 minis are hand tightened and threads clean. One I bought from Neal - not sure bout the other one, so maybe that was a sample?

There's no way I can remember...

I have two mini, both of them have very firm gluing.

I received my GT Mini CW last week and the bezel is unglued, thankfully because the gasket around the LED was out of place giving a little off-center hot-spot…

For statistics…
I have two Mini, both NW.
The first, from Neal, bought on 16.07.2018.
The second, from BG, 14.09.2018.
None has the bezel glued (very tight but no glue).

Maybe some of the assembly people ran out of threadlocker, but still needed to keep working? Maybe it is just random.

My Mini was unglued… Need strap wrenches to open the bezel though…

Huh, we are talking about threadlocker on bezel.

Wait, are you saying the bezel was unglued but still extremely tight?

Yes… No glue on bezel. I was shocked actually b3cause with all the reports that the bezels were glued I thought I’d wreck the light.

In my Mini (both) it was necessary to use strap wrenches but the threads were free of glue.
They were as tight as in the BLF GT (the “Giggles”).

Oddly I was able to open up my GT70 bezel with no problems either.

I did just get my GT Micro from the DHL truck this morning. I ordered it with the KeepPower 1000mAh cell from Neal’s; pretty quick shipping from confirmation to delivery. Have the cell charging now; can’t wait to try it out!

Mine’s fulfilled! It now has purpose in life…

Now I just have to wait ’til I get it from Fresno.

Ordered and payed feb23 from Neal, nothing happened since, no light sent out for a month :frowning:
As one of the very first enthousiasts for this light it is a bit more difficult than normal to stick to my motto with chinese purchases “it comes when it comes”.

I ordered mine a few days later than you. I sent him an email 2 days ago asking if my order had gone through, I received an email from him the next day saying it had and a shipping email not long after.
