Continuing site problems, March 2019

Not had any issues here, been on every day, on multiple devices.

UK based.
Firefox, Win10 (usually have NordVPN on set to UK).
Chrome, Android, tablet & Phone.

I’ve never had any problems regarding BLF speed, unless at peak times between 5:30 and 6:45 PM EST.

No issues for me. Normally on android using Brave n Chrome

No issues here on Firefox. But the lack of SSL may become a problem in the future.

i am online 18 hours a day - 7 days a week and check BLF often in that timeframe

NEVER had issues (besides the real downtimes)

It would be a good idea to enable HTTPS, but SSL is deprecated. TLS 1.2 should be used at a minimum.

Let’s Encrypt! makes it very easy and free to obtain a certificate which is trusted by all major platforms.

With respect, reports of “no problems” whilst encouraging, won’t help diagnosis for those may be. Who may still be virtually locked out, as am I.

It’s only because I am so stubborn that I keep trying, every once in a while something gets through.

Windows, Android, fibre broadband, 4G mobile broadband, my neighbour’s broadband, my Supermarket free WiFi, Opera, Opera Touch, Chrome, IE, Edge, Firefox. Ajax errors, Drupal errors, SQL errors, timeouts.

Have had better luck today, but still not perfect.

Hoping that sbd’s maintenance today has resolved things. I’ll give it a day or two.

No problems here either. I reckon there is something else to blame if it’s doing it on all those examples. How can it be sharing the problems over all platforms and connections, seems very strange to me.

Hi Tom Tom, did things improve for you today after I finished the routine maintenance ?

Greatly improved since yesterday. Not quite perfect, still seeing the occasional error messages, and being bumped off when trying to post (just returns to an empty comment field) but more like 1:10 than 10:1. Hoping that might settle down.

Many thanks for addressing this, I was beginning to get paranoid thinking it was just me.

Sbd’s recent maintenance has greatly improved matters here, for which I am most grateful. And I hope that my reports helped him to do that, constructively.

I was not saying there wasn’t a problem. But based on the comments you received, it truly was just you having that problem. Don’t read too much into it.
