I know and frequently use those coupons. I always wait with bigger purchases until the next sale shows up. Some shops offer also shop coupons and allow you to use select coupons to get 10% off at 60$ or something. And the perfect thing I really love on Aliexpress is that you can combine all of them and this way get an excellent price! :money_mouth_face: The Haikelite prices are actually even lower than some of the Banggood coupons around and include shipping with ePacket. :+1: Haikelite knows how to start serious sales!
Many people here appreciate less than 5000K CCT as well, and/or 80 CRI or above, so I would like to suggest expanding the LED choices.
Do you consider sourcing other MT-G2 LEDs for SC-02 or MT-01?
My specific request would be getting one of these (4000K CCT and 80 CRI):
MTGBEZ-01-0000-0B0HM040H or MTGBEZ-01-0000-0B0HM040F (MTGBEZ-01 reels are only 100 pieces, so it is a lesser investment than MTGBEZ-00 1000 pieces reels)
I would even buy only LED reflowed on MCPCB, so I could replace original LED in a few of my Haikelite SC02 flashlights (maybe there would be interest for a group buy here on BLF).
My SC04 host and the SC26 were shipped today. It took over a week but it is not that urgent to get new flashlights as I won’t be running out of them. Those prices were as low as I have never seen them before.
DBSS, what has been on sale will be on sale again. At the latest on 11.11.
Andybibbville, I have read that the MT09R should be more like 18000 to 20000 lumens. If you would bypass the springs there are 1000 - 2000 lumens to gain but the batteries and the flashlight itself are already at current and thermal limits.
If I didn’t already have a Q30 I would have bought a MT09R as well.
My SC26 arrived last week but unfortunately it was completely DOA. Tried cleaning all the contact points, checked the connections, tried different batteries, still nothing.
I contacted the folks at the Aliexpress Haikelite store and hopefully, they’ll do the right thing and send a replacement. Still waiting.
Meanwhile, my HaikeLite MT09R XHP70.2 P2-3C arrived.
Its outer appearance is flawless and well done.
A good friend of mine dismantled and optimized it.
HL already uses double springs. However, these springs are not well soldered. The inner springs seem to get loose fairly easy as these are not soldered to the PCB.
Advertised maximum output: 25,000 lumens
Results from a test (in factory condition) with different batteries:
