Bluzie's Fantastic Beamshot Collection at TLF

First I missed your post just above mine where you gave us the distance. LOL!

.
.

I was looking at the beamshot of the BFL A6.

And the modifed Convoy S2

Both of those are the lights I was looking at buying next.

On the BFL, you appear to be centering the hot spot just between the posts and on the second one, at about a meter or two from the feet of the tripod. Where the hot spot is aimed, that’s what I meant by “targeting”.

I noticed that because I was paying a lot of attention to he beam shots particularly since I want a floody light and those two lights in particular.

Do NOT take my comment as a criticisms, because I appreciate the ENORMOUS work you put it to give us all those shots. And of course, many thank you.

Critical comments are welcome, so we can improve the shots. :+1:

OH GREAT! Can I get 10 meter black and white wall shots with all the outputs of every light going back 5 years? Just asking…… :confounded:

A decade back, I used a Russian site to make up my mind about what to buy. Now, I’m looking at your site to decide between the colors and spread of a light. Particularly the BLF and Convoy.

About the shots…….how high are the lights? If they are at 1 meter, perhaps a “target” at 700mm and focusing the center of the light at it? That “should ” put the hot spot somewhere in the center of the garden. It would also have a relationship with eye level at 1.5 meters?

Have you already listed the methodology and I missed it?

Again, just a suggestion and by no means ANY criticism.

Thank you for this information. Your work and dedication is VERY MUCH appreciated!!!

Bluzie, when you say, “the hedge” is 55 meters away, do you mean the pine trees behind the bench? And then the oak trees are the much taller the trees behind them, that a lot of your beamshots do not reach and light up ?

For example: My Olight X7 lights up the furthest trees with 9,000 lumens, but the Elzetta Charlie does not, am I correct? And do these beamshots closely replicate what the average human eye sees in real life ?

Hope not too many questions and too complicated Bluzie… :person_facepalming:

Please have a look to the fotos from my friend quvantage.

I am still confused, I am not sure if directly in front of the beam is the hedge, and the oaks are behind the hedge, or what I am looking at. Also, there is a hedge running 90 degrees parallel to the flashlight beams starting right after the ending of the pavers. Also, there is one large tree by itself off to the left. Thank you for you effort.

Bluezie you the man!

I stumbled across your page when I was trying to determine what the different XPLs look like in real life. Not many people post identical set-up beam shot comparisons of different tints EXCEPT YOU!

Thanks so much for all your hard work!

The thread were I was directed to your page:
BLF thread comparing 1A vs 3A vs 5D

Your beautiful beam shots I used to determine some buying choices:
BLF A6 showing all 3 common XPL-HI tints
1A

3A

5D

That 3A So nice
I could go 5D though……… Haha

It really helped me a lot to decide on my PL47. Very happy with 3A…

now my problem is that I want to own or find someone who lives in my city who owns something in:
5D, 219B, 219C, SST-20 5000K, SST-20 4000K & SST-20 3000K

so that I can compare side by side and see if I actually like the look of super warm tints. I think I’d be ok with the SST 4000K but I want to see what 3000K looks like in real life!

until then at least we’ve got Bluzies spectacular beamshots! The only trouble with beamshot comparisons is that the A6 triple tint comparison is rare. most times he’s got shots of different lights with the different tints instead of the same light with a variety of tints/emitters. I find different lights show off the same emitter very differently. Like the 219B which looks good in a high power light but there’s multiple shots with low power flashlights where you can’t really tell what it’s like

Hi guys, Great news today! Bluzie just updated his fantastic beamshot collection!

I have been checking daily for months, waiting for any update. It is very valuable to have comprehensive compendium of beamshots taken under the same conditions, same location, by the same person, for comparison purposes.

Thank you, Bluzie!

List was updated yesterday. MS03 in nw and cw, and others.

List was updated about 12 hours ago. New entries include Weltool W4 LEP, Imalent R90TS and MS18, Lumintop BLF GT4 and GT94, and many others.

Thank you, Bluzie! I check the list every day.

All manufacturers by law should have to send their new models including all emitter options to Bluzie to register beam shots. I notice many current models are not on the list but what I wanna know is how did you get ahold of all them flashlights? Reviews? Folks lend them? Anyways damn fine resource, many lights I bought I just guessed what emitter option I would get. Thank you for your hard effort!

It is nice to see the X65 and HK90 and GT94 beamshots photographed by the same photographer in the same place under the same conditions. Same with all of the other beamshots.

Also, the first comparative beamshot of the new SFN55.2 emitter.

Thank you, Bluzie! I check the list every day.
