No longer even a question if:
You can’t remember when you past a hundred lights
You can’t remember how many you have given away
You can count at least 80 within arms reach (with batteries)
Your wife stopped asking if that’s a new light on your desk

Like the saying goes “If you have to ask?”
You’re browsing a flashlight forum and making posts.
If you’re reading this thread, the only correct response to the poll is “Yes, I am a flashaholic.”
I haven’t had one all day, but I may need one tonight. So is that a no, or am I in denial?

Hey guys, feel free to look at my posts about this subject. Ha Ha.
Hey guys, I figured I start post to see what type of ” IN DEBT ” broke scenario your guys are in splurging from all those purchases from BF, CM, etc….
I was suppose to make a DEFINITIVE CUT OFF point on overspending. BUT I FAILED!!! With so many deals going on I could not control myself.
Here’s rundown of all items purchased so far ;
Olight Warrior X,
Olight CU Copper Rechargeable
Powertac Warrior PK II x 2
Sonfirm C8F
Nitecore Tiny Monster 03
Nitecore P30
Imalent DX80
Multiple Eagleta…
Hey guys, Just wondering if any of you guys are taking a stand to downsizing collection?
Due to financial restrictions, space, conflicts with family members, girlfriends, etc……
I do not even consider buying any flashlights at retail stores. Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc…. UNLESS super great deals. Even then, I will purchase just 1 only to test. But lumen count has to be at least 1000. That helps eliminate compulsive buy disorder.
Selling away lower lumen count models. Anything less tha…

It is more about learning the skills to build them i was going to put my lathe in the dinning room but it was too big and heavy to get it there. I do have a mobile welding bench in the kitchen and the best thing about TIG is no splatter so i can weld on my coffee table.
Mmmmmm, I love flashohol…
You got me! My name is moderator007 and I’am a flashoholic and this is my story.
Not really sure if I should vote yes or no. I use torches all the time, and I do a lot of stuff related to them… but it has been ages since I actually bought one. At this point, I mostly have prototypes and parts.

With my very limited flashlight library and knowledge, I don’t think I am. I have very few working flashlights to call it a collection.

Being a torchaholic isn’t just about buying lights.
You spend many hours on driver firmware code and I spend many hours making the bodies, neither of us has bought a light for a while but I bet we’re thinking of something related nearly every day.
Of course, we could stop any time we wanted to.

I voted other because I like all flashlights( there’s a word for that but I can’t remember what it is) and I can quit anytime.

But at the same time - hobby does not have to be an addiction. Even if one chooses to spend a lot of (insert something) on it.
BTW, I’m somewhat surprised by the results so far. I knew that many of us were flashloholics. But didn’t think it was that many. Actually I expect that numbers to shift a little (the percentage of “yes” drops already) because flashoholics tend to spend more time here than the rest does. And for this reason they are on average much quicker to vote.
Still - I’m surprised.

I am driverholic not flashaholic
I’m probably a flashaholic.
I have more than 130 lamps in my collection and about 100 vintage lamps. I don’t count it anymore. Another five lamps are in transport.
I still think I’m in the beginning and I’m at the beginning, I have few lamps.
I live in a city. One or two lamps would suffice. That’s a terrible idea!
