I know they say the T25 can last 25 years, the T100 is said to last 50. These are from the leader in the technology, mb-technologies in Switzerland… they have now been at it for 50 years supplying Military
If you like that one, this may also grab your attention.
It hits ever single dream feature….titanium, digital data and timing, rough service, sapphire glass. Sadly, it was only issued to the German military stationed in Afganistan. I missed the boat on grabbing a few on the resale market.
I like digital date and timing because the analog will never be as accurate and easy to read. On the other hand, nothing beats analog to “scan” the time.
As for the other one you like, it is a visual treat for me. It shouts form AND function by a engineer/designer who has aesthetic taste. Look at my BLF Sabre, same thing. It looks great but it does so by also trying to solve the heat issue. I have more flashlight designs that solve, or at least try to solve heat issues of 50,000 lumens. And looks like an alien artifact in form. But sadly….
Oh well….back to watches. If I sell a big ticket item, I’m going to buy that watch.
I do really like this nite Alpha but would have loved it in Titanium. I’ve suggested it, and they’re coming out with blue/orange T100 Tritium vials (GTLS) in a few months so maybe they’ll consider the Ti case. Might would have to upgrade…
As it happens, today I have been wearing both (not at the same time….) - in the morning, the Rat-Shock, because I was doing some dusty and dirty work around the garden. I can treat it as rough as I like and simply not care.
Then this afternoon and evening, the 1456 - it is a nice, comfy watch and actually a lot smaller than I had expected it to be. I like the colourful backlight. My only ever so slight criticism is that I would have preferred the dial and bracelet to have been the same finish, but it is only a very slight negative.
Have you seen the aged Full Metal that is being released?
The aged look goes great with the square G-shock , they want 1000$ for it though, lol, the 500$ previous metal ones sold well, it seems they are trying to see how far they can push.
