Nope you need the discount code from M4X deals page to buy from Banggood i can’t post the code here cause its not my deal and i don’t want to step op peoples feet.
The coupon is in this thread
If you buy from Aliexpress you can message Sofirn with your BLF user name and they will discount the SP70 for you.
That looks like the prototype light with the shiny finish and it was shipped in a S70S box. That one also seems to have the heavy OP reflector instead of the one that’s going into production. I’m not positive, though. It’s hard to tell.
His candela reading of 85kcd is very inaccurate so I would ignore it. He must have been using really weak batteries that couldn’t sustain Turbo. Even with a heavy OP reflector he should be getting way more than that. With the regular Sofirn 5500mah batteries Sofirn measured 75kcd with the heavy OP reflector. I wonder if he used those cells or maybe the Panny B’s from earlier in the video? If anyone can translate, please let us know.
Overall that’s a really good review, even though I couldn’t understand the language. All of those beam shots looked very impressive. I don’t think that light had a CW emitter. It looked more NW to me.
I agree that those beam shots were great. Despite not speaking the language, the comparisons really give a good idea of what this light can do. What a deal for $50.
Thought they were pretty good myself. Would like to see it beside a L6 at some point. Not an expensive light either. even at $58 it seems like a good deal.
Well, I'm hoping to get one soon, and I have a pretty beefy L6. If you meant compared to a stock L6, I can't help... other than to say this one will outshine a stock L6 ;)
That’s what I have heard as well. All my L6’s have the Resistor upgrade and I have put 70.2’s in all of them. I also bought one of the new L6’s with a 70.2 in it. Supposed to be about 500 lumen brighter than the original.
I done a resistor mod in my S70 it does like 10amps or so. The SP70 will still be like 2500+ lumens brighter. It should be able to get about 18-20 amps in direct drive.
As of today, it looks like if we want to purchase both the SP70 light AND the Sofirn HD 26650 batteries together, we have to go through Aliexpress.
I assume Bangood didn’t want to stock the batteries.
I also assume that Sofirn’s suggestion that USA customers should wait for the light to show up on Amazon (to shorten delivery times) might be waiting a while.
1) I’m not familiar with contacting Aliexpress with my BLF name to get the discounted $50 price but is anyone else familiar with that process? Do I just email them before I order or do I email them after I order with some order information?
2) Also, does Aliexpress offer a BLF discount on the Sofirn HD26650 batteries?
There are some countries where people can’t order batteries seperately. This is why Sofirn sourced some HD batteries to sell with the light. People in USA have lots of battery choices.
Amazon probably takes an extra week to get the lights in stock, but shipping from them should be shorter with better tracking and easy returns if the light gets damaged, etc…
