Waiting for next batch [AMZ US Available Now] $49.99 Sofirn SP36 Anduril Version

Barry, thanks for checking the 80CRI 5000K Samsung LH351D leds, the output and CRI looks good.

The question is: how does the beam shape and the tint look if you shine the XP-L2 version and LH351D version next to each other? On a white wall, but also when illuminating some colourful things, or outside? I know that you are less flashoholic than we are  , but perhaps you can share us your personal impression of the difference?

well, my eyes are not that sensitive, all I can say is LH351D beam is more comfortable than XPL2.

Guys, sofirn SP36 Anduril Version is available on banggood.com. You are familiar with it.

Would it be possible to buy on the Aliexpress store too?

That is also my preference.

Is the bezel and driver glued?

I’m interested,

NO GLUE ANYWHERE PLEASE.

Gone a bit OT on the branding IMO. Kinda putting me off. I will wait for confirmation on whether there is any glue before thinking on this further.

Would this one be more/less floody than the original?

Slightly more floody.

Perfect. Pre-ordered!

Where is this adjustable from?

Since it uses Anduril, then most likely that is 7 clicks will cycle from Off to On to Blinking (if 3 states) or Off to High to Low to Blinking (if 4 states).

Would also probably like to order on AliExpress. Banggood lately has been cancelling my pre-orders after they already take my money, then mention some other issue if the pre-order is taking too long, and suggest me to cancel it or they cancel it automatically…

Thanks I found it.
Need new glasses.

I really like the thought of having one of these with XHP50.2’s. SST-20’s would also be awesome. Just a thought.

Barry0892 - do you maybe know the answer?

I really like those upgrades to this light, makes me glad I waited to get one… Thanks Barry!

Can’t answer regarding the bezel. Bezel not glued would probably be OK? (could carelessly unscrewing the bezel damage the LEDs, like in the earlier batch of Fireflies ROT66 where the optic will scrape off and damage the LED?)

Regarding the driver board, I seem to recall Toykeeper or someone in another SP36 message thread, mention that due to the smaller size of the head, there is not additional space to hold the driver board in place (like screws), so it has to be glued in place (otherwise there is risk of shorting out something, which I recall Toykeeper mentioned too)…

Yea, too many words, it would look a lot better in the same font size or on two lines.

I always liked the style of the BLF A6

And heres a crappy photoshop mockup

A LED with a green tint will look bad even to muggles, even if they ignore the reason why it looks bad. They won’t like it and you will loose customers.
But a bad tint can be corrected with an appropriate filter and they are several ways to mount or incorporate it.

- Soft thin filter between a TIR optic and the front glass lens to keep the filter flat. The filter should resist to heat and UV to not degrade too quickly over time = more expensive.

- Front glass lens replaced by a tinted glass lens.

  • Front bezel threaded to mount removable glass filter just like on camera lens. Not cheap.
