Someone said it before but it needs repeating,
This AA Tool 2.0 has the best high def high CRI cool white emitter that I have ever seen.
The detail is just incredible in all the modes. This would be a handy detective/Cop investigative detail operation flashlight, nothing can hide.
Blown away, plus they got rid of the PWM and hid the strobe.
Add on the reversible clip, Alkaline, Ni-MH and 14500 capabilities and this thing is Pure EDC heaven for me at least.
Get the Vipon code and steal one for $9 while you can!

I think I was the one that mentioned this, but in another review. The tint on this Tool’s XP-L is nothing short of a treat, easily the nicest cool white I have ever seen. You can tell for sure its CCT is high, but it doesn’t wash out reds and yellows like we’ve come to expect; it just looks nice.
Holy crap, you’re not kidding, that is a steal I’d nab another one if I wasn’t so short on dosh this month.
That is better than the AAA. The AAA’s switch is so rigid, I tend to turn off the light instead of switching modes. Also, the AAA don’t work with 10440, while the AA works with 14500 battery.
I haven’t been using the Tool AA body just the head with the Nitefox ES10K Stainless steel tube, so I can’t provide a good idea of retention and activation so far! Within some weeks, after changing the led and driver, i will use it with that body and then I’ll be able to provide more info
So, after using the “Tool AA V2.0” under 2 different versions (1 - Tool AA head with the Nitefox ES10K Stainless steel tube, 2 - Tool AA V2.0 with forward clicky swith), I realized that the best version is really what I shown in the photo above.
I am using the M1T Raider pocket clip and it works perfectly. Good retention, doesn’t get out of the place in the jeans pockets, always easily accessible.
I am using it with the OTR M1 rubber cap and a lighted switch from Convoy, so I can locate it well in the dark.
This is my EDC light right now and it couldn’t be much better! This clip works really well
BTW, the reasons why I abandoned the 2 earlier versions is because the light had too many accidental activations, and almost burned me once (accidental turbo activation )
