Love my Wuben E05. Good magnet tail cap, diffuser and reversible clip. Short cut to turbo.

Sits on bed side table with Enogear AA Stainless Steel (AA/14500) & Utorch S1 Mini. Very handy light.

Love that light too. I was lucky enough to get a few before they disappeared. Wish I could get a few more for gifts.

Following this suggestion, and looking to your “warm tint option”, I would take a look at this:

https://www.selected-lights.de/led-lampen/selected-lights-wuben-e05-taschenlampe-mit-samsung-cri-90-led-700-lumen-fuer-1x-14500-akku-tlf-version/a-3275/

This is the TLF version of the Wuben E05. It has 720 lumens, and Samsung (90 CRI) inside. Also the UI is different from the “regular” E05.

How much would that cost to ship to the US?

That I wouldn’t know :zipper_mouth_face: I believe that it will more or less the same than from US to Europe, maybe 13€-15€/$15-$20. But only the store can tell you that, honestly !

lumintop AA tool 2.0?

Wuben E05 :+1:

Does it really take 2 seconds (long press) to turn it off? That’s what I’ve read in one review. If so, that would be a huge annoyance to me personally.

I vote for the Wuben also. The one I have (after I put on the DC- Fix) is a great little light. Use it in the warehouse daily and on early morning or late evening walks. Plenty bright on the middle two settings and the turbo is nice when you need it. I just charge it every week whether it needs it or not.
I think I would like the UI better on that TLF edition better (probably the tint and CRI also) but it’s too expensive to get it here in the USA. As it is, I got the standard version for 1/2 off, which is great since it comes with a 14500 battery!

Maybe not quite two seconds. It was annoying at first but you quickly adjust to it. Hardly notice it now.

Still, it is longer than turning off the Manker E11 or the Sofirn SP10A/B!
That is the real only con for me!

The other puzzling thing that I asked about and never got an answer is runtimes on alkaline vs NiMH. According to Wuben, runtimes on alkalines are twice as long as on NiMH. I find that strange.

NiMh runtime may be due to low-voltage cutoff. If the cutoff voltage is too high, the NiMh won't be using nearly its full capacity. This is a hidden problem with NiMh in many devices.

I can put a fresh charge on a NiMh and put it through a run time test. Do you want all modes or just one or two in particular? I don’t buy Alky’s anymore but I wouldn’t mind seeing about the NiMh.

I’d be interested in the LOW mode. Thanks.

Alrighty, it’s running. I’ll report back many hours from now I presume.

That would be much appreciated - for low and med if possible.

I’d rec that one too, except the OP asked specifically for a side e-switch. Still a great pick to consider in case horizons are broadened.

No problem, I will run it on Med after the Low one is complete.
