Acebeam X45 defective, 2 months old

So unfortunate that this is being handled the way it is. I’ve only had one issue and that was with Jaxman on AliExpress. Package arrived without the contents. Jaxman refunded my money after a lengthy debate. They wanted Ali to take care of it initially. After about 3 weeks Ali refunded the money also. I contacted Jaxman to return their money and they said keep it. They would deal with Ali to get their money back. Then I got a message from Jaxman saying how poor AliExpress was to their sellers, guess they just wanted to vent to me. Got double my money back and ordered and received the light I originaly ordered. Other than some time lost, everything went well. Hope in the end Acebeam takes care of the issue and you feel good about the results. if that’s possible at this point. I will probably stay away from the higher end lights from Acebeam until I know they appreciate and take care of their customers. If they sent you a new head it would not hurt their margins. They should just bite the bullet on this one and send it for free.

Look on it fromthe bright side: the mail of Acebeam could be the start of a fruitful dialogue. A bit cynical?
Maybe, but I would NOT remove/delete this thread without substantial promises to compensate you.

And to think that I was going to buy X80 and X65. Their loss and my profit. Thank you for this topic.

I would not delete the thread even with compensation. Update it to include new or positive customer service responses from the manufacturer perhaps, but not delete and hide the evidence of poor past performance.

This. If someone was doing wrong, then came around as a result of pressure/bad reviews, I'd document that. I'd express how I felt about the ultimate resolution, etc. I'll never take down a bad review, only update.

I'm glad I've somehow avoided all the bad manufacturers/sellers out there so far. MtnElectronics, Led4Power, Jaxman, Convoy, and even Kaidomain have been good to me.

X80 is iffy.

Tbh Imalent get a bad rep but they’ve never failed me quality wise (even with some horrendous drops) I’ve had 2 Acebeam failures now with virtually no use.

No news, nothing has happened since my last post. I’ll update as soon as there is some news.

Their customer treatment is just shameful, really awful. Was thinking about getting me the T27, for sure I wont buy anything from them.

I hope you told them you will not take this thread down until they have corrected the issue, and also that more and more people are seeing and reading it everyday. Moreover, some say they are now not going to purchase Acebeam lights because of the issue you are having with their customer service and you will be reporting every action they take to correct it good or bad.

I actually highly recommend this approach, as they are worried about it already.

Lets be honest here, Acebeam or any Chinese light is cheap to produce. I know I saw Mashall Hoots trip to China in the Olight factory and they have their stuff together. They really test their lights and have USA customer service in Georgia. I made a simple call to them one time and I got a new X7 tailcap no questions asked with stickers and morale patch in 2 days from the call. (Come to find out the tailcap was just fine so I have a good spare for it.)

Acebeam will never get my money.
Period.

Acebeam will never get my money too!

@RonNL, I would go to a small claims court and act against what Acebeam did.

Thanks for support. I will ask Acebeam one more time to resolve this situation for me. If they refuse, I will look into other options.

Seems that they are just ignoring me now.

really sad, they charge premium money but gives zero support if light goes kaputt… that just shows that acebeam sucks and their light are overpriced bigtime! :person_facepalming:

I can’t believe Acebeam is doing this to there customer, It show how much they care about there customer :person_facepalming:

Wao, just wao. Sorry for the bad experience OP, that’s a lot of money for a light. And asking to delete this thread? What on earth? So now we know, let’s just avoid Acebeam entirely.

Yeah, your first option is to go after the shipper who shipped the head, as it’s their problem and China Post’s issue on the back end of the delivery. Acebeam is not in the shipping business, so they bear no responsibility in that regard.

Secondly, you sent it out using your cheapest option and didn’t pay for a tracking number, so that’s ultimately on you and you most probably did not pay for insurance and again, that’s on you.

Lessons learned.

I think that offering you a brand new light at essentially 50% off retail pricing is more than fair, IMO.

As far as import duties go, we’ll that’s the EU for you and things are more expensive over there, so not Acebeam’s fault either.

I have had great experiences with Acebeam. I Troubleshooted an issue and they sent me a free replacement tail cap PCB which fixed my issue.
I also had a time where I received an X70 handle with a scratch. Both times the company sent me replacement parts for free.

Sure, I could have chosen for insurance, but Acebeam requested me to note 10 USD as value on the package. So I would only have gotten 10 USD back. Only difference with tracking ID would have been that I had known where the package went missing.

Without even the slightest hint or claim that my track record is so much better, it is safe to say that in this case pretty much every action has gone wrong. Some decisions you made up yourself, some were following the suggestions of Acebeam. Acebeam is not a random third party, it is the other party involved. Their suggestions will never harm their own point of view. When you act accordingly, that’s legally your own choice. IMHO there isn’t much more you can do.
Only routes open are: excellent customer care, high morals, and goodwill, on the side of Acebeam :person_facepalming: .
Or the very opposite of it, by you.
You have noticed that a lot of members are in your corner. But it is a bit like repeating Paris Jackson that from now on I never again will stay in one of the hotels of the sultan of Brunei. Because I have never had any intention to go to Brunei in the first place, even if they were not introducing Sharia law. Same thing is me saying I won’t buy an(other) Acebeam in my life, because I can’t afford them anyway.
Maybe it is time to make some noise. Social media are perfecty suited for making noise. That’s why so few of us go there. But that (and the other forum) is the place where a lot of people dwell that can afford buying an Acebeam. Maybe they change their mind.
