New Arrival of D25S USB Rechargeable Headlamp

How many of us still “need” a headlight? That’s funny.

Barry, what is the size of the mcpcb and is it glued? I would like to mod it with quad e21A in both reflectors. Might buy a few if they are easily moddable.

We will try sending inventory to Amazon DE next batch. The tint is 6500K. Thanks for your suggestion for the UI. I will think about it. But I don’t know if the factory will listen to me again.

@Barry, is it possible to get them to use SST-20 4000k?

You can DIY.

Sofirn makes excellent lights and are very tempting. The things that hold me back are the cool CCT and low CRI.

I know that modding is part the fun, but I travel so much that I rarely have time lately.

So thank you Sofirn for saving me money.

I am afraid not, different size.

Your US Amazon is sold out. Any chance re-stocked?

give the option neutral white luxeon v

I was able to mod the old version. Mcpcb is glued but was able to pry it out with the help of some heat. Tried with two 219cs on KD 16mm mcpcbs. Had to sand down the sides of mcpcbs so that leds would be close enough to align with the reflectors. It worked, although I settled with reflowed neutral white xml2s on the original mcpcb since I found a couple in my stash. I was also able to fit 17mm Yajiamei optics after sanding them down. Not sure if you can reduce Clemence’s VR16SP4 enough to fit though. Maybe 2x2 on VR16S1 would be easier.

Thanks a lot for listening to BLF’s “voice of the customer”.  Actually, this is one of many things I really appreciate about Sofirn.
In my humble opinion the D25(S) host is quite useful. Things I would like to see improved would be:

- different emitters and/or optics for left and right LED, e.g. my favourite configuration: red light (XP-E2 deep red 660nm) and white light (LH351D 4.000K 90CRI) with red light behind a 60° TIR lens and white light in an SMO reflector

- better current/temperature regulation

- more sophisticated UI (e.g. doubleclick button to active/cycle red light, single press on or off, hold button to cycle low-med-high)

  • overhead strap for more stability when attached to one’s head

You could call this one “D25 Pro” :stuck_out_tongue:

NW option please.

Interested to check out this D25S (SST20 LED) headlamp…

Will this SST20 version of the D25 headlamp be available in AliExpress too? I am unable to purchase from Amazon store.

D25S is SST40 version, not SST20 version. The first batch is sold only on Amazon US, it may be sold on Aliexpress in the future.

+1

+1. Although i think you meant SST40?

Oops, yes I mean the SST40… sorry about the typo… Too bad it’s not available for us who are unable to order from Amazon…

No worries :D.

Yeah it is a shame. Since you’re in the Philippines though i think they have a shop in shopee(sofirnlight.ph). Avoid paying additional for the handling fee and inconvenience of going to the post office. Unsure if they are connected to Sofirn in any way though but they do sell mostly Sofirn products.

Maybe Barry can clarify if that store is them as well?
