Another useless Kickstarter light

make yourself a perfect target in combat

Hery look I found the Titanic

my opinion

Link?

I seen a kickstarter lantern project a couple years ago, they began to take donations, then vanished.

they claim 4900 Lumens on throw zoom level,

and 1:45h runtime 500m throw,

sorry but what about Physics?

  • Small lens
  • heat

Physics redesigned COB with

"This mode involves special LED circles. They are rather simplistic but at the same time, owing to a wide diode area, they produce high light density. As a result, you get soft unfocused light"

The further you focus the more output it produces?

On the first gif, he’s holding a paintball rifle, probably more indicative about the people targeted by this kickstarter.
Not sure that pointing a light with shoulders and torso moves is something intuitive and convenient.
Anyway…probably perfect for weekend soldiers.

This one is the best, pledged $527,514

@Quadrupel : Yeah bright flood on the nose !!! Perfect to ruin your night vision. :person_facepalming:

Because even if you think that you don’t see it, your nose is in your peripheral field of view, always.

Well, how are they going to sustain 2450 lumens/head continuously?

Also, who actually worked on the pictures and distance graphs?

I know what they mean, but it is quite misleading.

I always love thinking that we are actually better than almost all of these flashlight kickstarters.

Huh… Seems very gimmicky

if yopu look at their explode GIF you see the usual China zoom where it moved the LED on a slide not the lens with fixed LED heatsink

looks for me like a sort of scam or total false advertisement

wtf? They got half a million dollars for that??? Reminds me of that failed “free water” device that’s basically a dehumidifier which you drink water from. At least it has a use tho. Wonder how much it costs…

but does your flashlight have LED CIRCLE ENERGY SAVING MODE

Yeah. 700 lumens is a real power saving mode.

700 lumens is perfect for saving power.

That illuminated circle on your back makes a perfect target. Is that really a good thing?

On the positive side, I do like the idea of a “body” light that lets the user “wear” the cells in a larger (than typical handheld flashlight) case. But I think they lost an opportunity by only using 4 x 18650s.

I bet if you hand any who bought this thing
a MF02S or similar light
they will be very fast very disappointed

The backlight idea is quite innovative and sci-fi looking and they are using two XHP 70 in a zoomie lens so lots of light is lost inside it.

They should send a sample to someone here for a review!

“Bummer of a birthmark, Hal…”

Reminds me of the Repulsor https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1484247498/repulsor-your-ultra-powerful-wearable-flashlight
