So does this mean that 1544 units were produced and anyone after that number wonāt be able to participate in the group buy? Or will there be a round #2 soon to follow?
Problem is, TK said that the actual delay is 90 seconds plus approximately 5 seconds of message processing time. With hundreds of messages (well over 1000), clock skew is likely to be significant. TK's made later posts with something like "now at #nnn at time TTT", and using those will be slightly more accurate.
Noā¦ it does not mean that. The Group Buy List is still open at this point according to TK.
I imagine, by what she posted yesterday; it will close sometime today.
1544 was the number of people at time of that PM List posting. Many of those 1544 bought multiple lights.
No, the original list had every light requested with some users listed multiple times if they requested multiple lights. The list for the email script is the same list with all multiples removed. As of now we only know that 1000+ were produced in the first batch.
My faultāI was looking at just the numbers assigned. I hadnāt yet looked at associated names. I now see that on the original interest list, the sequential order number is not the same as the notification list (I had mistakenly assumed it would be the same number set). Glad to see Iām on it (my interest list number is 1925, but I see that Iām on the notify list).
Itās all personal preference. I love 4000K best, 4500K is okay (great during the day) and below 4000K is good as well for night time. Some people prefer cooler tints. Just because they are wrong doesnāt mean they canāt enjoy them
You need to re-read what she wrote. A PM is sent every 95 seconds. End of story.
Weāre not trying to calculate with moon landing accuracy on thisā¦ā¦
Just ordered my two lights, both 7A. I was thrilled to see the warm white option. It is so rare that I mostly assume Iāll need to swap emitters in any new flashlight. I know Iām in the minority here, but anything 4000K and above is too cool. 3000-3500K is the sweet spot; colors pop and look more alive, to my eyes at least. Itās always good to have options!
Thank you, TK and the whole FW3A team. Iām sure this light will be worth the long wait.
Heyā¦ to each their own. 7A looks like a Hot Death Rayā¦ but if a few like that, no problem. Everyone is entitled to mistakes in lifeā¦ 7A being one of them.
3D is the overwhelming clear choice of the twoā¦ā¦
But your rightā¦. it is all about personal preference.
I donāt know, but it sounds like it would take about a month to get the first item. I doubt the coupon will still be active in a month, but you would have to ask Neal.
If Lumintop and Neal can be convinced to offer more flavors, it would be nice to have a cool white version. I suggested 7A, 5A, 3D, and 2A (~3200K, ~4100K, ~4900K, ~5900K). However, they are hesitant to make too many flavors.
I donāt want a cool white one for myself though. I generally prefer ~4100K to ~4900K. But Iām pretty sure JasonWW would like to have a cool white version.
I donāt have emitter type data in the list, but Iāll definitely add everyone as soon as the current batch of messages finishesā¦ and then send a second batch.
If youāre already on the list though, you wonāt be in the second batch of messages. Simply use the URL and coupon from your first message to order whichever lights you want.
I donāt know yet when or how Neal is planning to do the SST-20. Maybe itāll have a new coupon, maybe itāll use the same one as before.
In any case, youāre #905 on the list, and it just sent out message #929. So maybe youāve already ordered.
Could you please put me on the list for a second one, high CRI version even if there isnāt separated lists for emitters.
I wouldnāt want to miss this opportunity if there is a new code later for high CRI.
Thank you in advance.
Congratulations to the FW3A teamā¦beau travail moussaillons !
Just ordered one in 3D. Big thanks to everyone who made this project a reality!
So just to confirm, if I was on the list for one which I just ordered, but would also like to get a group buy light in high CRI, I donāt need to be added to the new list?
ā¦ and when the current batch of messages is done, the plan is to update the list with all the new requests and send a second batch of messages. But the list closes as soon as the first batch of messages is complete.
Itās on #949 of 1544, and it does one message every 95 seconds. So it looks like thereās about 15.7 hours left to get on the list. Or maybe a bit more because Iāll probably be asleep when the first batch finishes.
