Ugh, you monster. I have a D10 from August that I've been wanting to mod, but haven't done anything with it yet.
I skimmed through your post history, and it looks like I found the posts I need to disassemble and check if it's got the correct revision to support an MCU swap...
Is a complete driver swap not viable on the D10/D25?
I'll have to either toss a Luxeon V in mine, or SST20+TIR...
Iām not aware of any drivers that will easily swap in. I could design a new one, but I havenāt done so yet and Iām not sure if itās worth it.
Cool. The issue I have with headlamps currently is that I'm not a huge fan of the more classic L-shaped right-angle lights, but those are the best for modding and/or already having pleasant UIs. Don't design a driver for my sake, though. (But if you do, I want one!)
Taking the driver out from Convoy T2 and put it into Fenix HL23 headlamp.
The headlampās driver was damaged some months ago and now it has new soul ā and become a twisty headlamp.
And for the T2, since itās using 17mm driver, I installed this driver from FT and run it with 14500.
Not a nice driver for sure (it has delay in operation) but it works.
It was a 2-minute mod: I photoshopped it :innocent:

Iāve been having some fun with the 3v XHP50.2. I flowed this one onto the MCPCB myself which I normally donāt do. Notice some odd color on moonlight. Is this normal? My other XHP50.2 light is 6v and doesnāt go as low so I canāt really compare them.
Is that still the table/Stand Old Lumens had built
Yeh, the stand looks familiar. Also it all looks quite cleanā¦. 
Uh, well, that was taken when I set it up. It no longer looks quite like that. Clean, it is not. 
I built and installed the lighted switch board for my HC30 mod. It has had the a TA driver running anduril (as FET+1 for now, till I get more of the good 7135ās), just the SW board is new from this weekend and thatās a tail clicky clear SW boot cut way down to fit.
Very cool. Not too many headlamp mods happening, it seems. Easy to take apart? Is the driver just pressed in? Was it glued? Is that one of the new lighted boards from MtnE?
I made today a programming key for Astrolux FT03.
The sanded down 22mm TA driver is pressed in (stock driver PCB was glued but threads wernt). Overall pretty easy to mod.
The switch board is my own design, itās 10.3mm. BTW oshpark sticker 0x19 is the best one Iāve ever seen! This is V2, originally V1 had 4 ledās and a leadless switch from sparkfun but it turned out to be super weak and I think the reflow heat was causing them to fail prematurely, I went through all 5 switches I had, each would last a few days after being soldered on. Dumped the leadless switch for this more common one, deleted 2 LEDās and moved the resistor to the back and these boards are G2G.
Next on my bench is my ArmyTek tiara C1, gonna give it the same treatment (hopefully light shines through its yellow boot).
FW3A - emitter and optic swap. Beam is pretty similar to the original beam, but maybe tiny bit tighter and has a slightly warmer tint.
Doesnāt it have a starburst spill?
A little bit. I havenāt checked to see if itās any more than the frosted 10511 though. Any petals in the spill are still far less than with 10507 optic.
