Got the lights on Wednesday. I’ve had it in my pocket the last days and been working fine till last night the mode change. When clicked on and click and hold down the brightness only goes up a bit and then shuts off. Remove the head to try and see if it will go back to default and did not work. I was reading the UI and messing with it and somehow it started working back to default mode. Put it in my pocket and ate dinner and then back to same issue.
I don’t intend to keep the stock LEDs, but I did order both 3D and 7A so I could measure the colour and output for BLF. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a 7A without an indefinite wait, so I switched my order to just 3D. Very frustrating seeing a bunch of orders placed days after mine shipping first.
In order to keep the right sequence of interested clients across multiple platforms, potentially unique discount codes, a capped number of sold items or even have the codes and messages match the number of reservations… - would really go beyond anything this team could have done.
However I do believe that a system like that would have a good reason to exist. I use multiple forums were people “sign up” for interested products, services, or “maker” projects; some even with a down payment and there is always a lot of discussion about the sequence, amount ordered and a more fair process.
The complexity of such a secure, reliable and global solution would be that of a “mini ebay with paypal integration”. Maybe a group of nifty SW devs are working on such a solution?
Do you have information that the wait for 7A is longer than early next week?
Like you, I don’t plan to keep the original emitters so I just picked a tint arbitrarily. I’m not pleased that I picked the wrong one for getting my light shipped quickly, but I don’t want to bother asking to change it if that won’t get my light in the mail sooner.
