I got the notice mine has shipped. It’s a 7A.

Here are test results from maukka for SST-20 FA3 and FD2 tint bins. They both look pretty OK, with FA3 being slightly better, but harder to get. If Neal actually found FD2, that will be pretty satisfactory, I think.
Mine has been in LHR customs since 5am on Sunday… On its way to Devon. I was really hoping the tracking just stopped at LHR and it would magically arrive yesterday. Seems I was wrong on both counts.
I never assumed expedited shipping was a cheat to cut the waiting list. I just figure that had I ordered the 3A separately from the 7A, it would have already arrived with, and possibly without expedited shipping.
Now I suspect I may be waiting even longer since folks that presumably ordered only the 7A are receiving their shipping notices. It appears that, since all the 3As that were on hand are gone, I’ll be waiting until both units happen to be in stock at the same time before my order is put together and shipped. Hopefully I’m wrong about this.
I’m with you candor, ordered one 3D and one 7A and haven’t seen or heard anything. I did PM Neal with a request for an estimated shipping date based on my order number but no response. I’m sure he’s up to his eyeballs in FW3As, shipping supplies and customer requests.
It’ll get here at some point.

Yeah, I ordered 3 optics so I could compare all 4. One arrived the next day from Nevada and the other 2 arrived a few days later from Germany. So super fast shipping.
Well, there is a WANT list and a WHAT IS AVAILABLE NOW list. Sometimes they don’t match up and we get 1, 9 and 10. Actually it looks like 3, 9 and 10. People did vote for those lower choices, so their needs are being fulfilled, that’s good. There is nothing around 4000K yet, but overall having 3 tints available so early is impressive. Plus a 4th tint is still to come. So they are doing a good job overall. :+1:

Which one is the fourth tint and has that one been confirmed or something? Will there be many more variants of this lights going forward? Read OP/post 1 and there were only 3 LED options listed.

As I understand it the current options are XP-L Hi 3D, 7A & 1A. The SST-20 4000k is also planned but with no date yet. Nothing other than these have been confirmed.

I ordered one light before sending out the notifications, so I could document the ordering process and verify the shop actually works. Didn’t want to send notifications without making sure it works first. But I don’t expect Neal to prioritize my order since I already have one.
Definitely like the “Heat Map”. I think your use of them was the first time I had seen them.
Yeah, I’d like to buy a reasonably priced glow gasket. Not for $25 tho’.
True, the making process of the FW3A have been so fast that nobody has had time to plan options better matching the want list. :innocent:
LED Supply also has them. I don’t remember their shipping prices, but I seem to recall them being good, or else having a low minimum to get free shipping.
Your light needs to go back to the future. July 29, 2017 was a rather dull time for the FW3a.
