Got my UC15 earlier today. All in all a nice light with great build quality, alas, that comes at price - more than double the weight of Nitecore TIP. The tint is good - no green to be seen. Few gripes: I wish it could tail stand. I also wish the moon mode was lower.
not this one lol, doesnt do that either, no matter how long I press and let go, the main emitter will come on. amazon doesnt even have stock anymore so I cant get it replaced, only a refund
well my finger is numb from holding the button, absolutely no time period will lock it out or turn uv/red on. Thats some poor QC on their end. Looks like I have to send it back.
Might be more trouble than it’s worth? I don’t know, It was a great price, but in this case I got what I paid for  Hopefully everybody else gets a good light.
Try one click and on the second click hold —- mine goes in by holding button but sometimes I have to click and hold on the second click to get it back to white light
That doesn’t work either, it just cycles from brightness levels when I try it. Very disappointed with this light, I wanted something that I wouldn’t’ have to toss out after a few years like my tips, tini or olight I1r and the red/uv which I dont have on any other lights except a red on an old petzl headlamp
Amazon discounts normally have nothing to do with the chances of receiving a dud or lemon. They all ship from the same warehouse regardless of the price being sold so I wouldn’t call this “you get what you pay for” situation. If you’ve really tried everything in the manual then it’s probably a factory defect, try asking for a replacement instead of refund.
Mine should arrive tomorrow so I can confirm about the version.
I would also think you could contact Amazon and set up a replacement unit once more inventory arrives. May take a little while. I would at least try since the price was so good.
It’s usually impossible to replicate a lightning deal and a coupon on an exchange when not shipped from and sold by amazon, I have tried in the past but they couldn’t do it. Of course after I just shipped it back I see the seller has stocked it again, but no coupon now, still wondering if they were offloading a defective batch, has anyone else got theirs yet?
I’m not calling out Amazon on this, they have always been solid with me, I even just got my refund a minute ago after dropping it off at UPS 2 hours ago…I was referring to Acebeam and their quality control, a defect like that should never have been shipped out, it’s obvious they don’t fully test the lights before they package them.
