I'm thunderstruck by the Lightning Storm blinky. I find it very relaxing. The fact that it uses so little battery power is a big plus as well.
Does anybody know of more lights with this mode?

Thank you DavidEF. It didn't occur to me that the mode was associated with only a single User Interface.
There’s also a similar mode in MELD by ttever3. I don’t know how it works, because I don’t have the source code, but it’s at least kinda the same thing.
Mine started out in mid-2014 because someone wanted help making a display for Burning Man. They made a human-like cyber figure with an illuminated heart in the center, and it was meant to look really unstable like it was shorting out a lot and sparking. So I made a thing, shown in this old video.
Then it mostly sat unused for three years.
In 2017 I finally started on the new from-scratch e-switch UI toolkit I had been meaning to write… and with that, I made Anduril. There ended up being plenty of space in the ROM, so I added that old burning-man thing and tweaked it to look more like a lightning storm instead of a malfunctioning circuit.
But aside from what I mentioned here, I haven’t seen any similar modes elsewhere.
