Yes, suppliers lying to the manufactures is shockingly common in China. LEDâs tints are even worse since very few manufactures can test to see if they are what they claim or even care.
Been dealing with this for months trying to find SST-20 LEDâs and been flat out lied to a few times so far with the LEDâs all being from the normal FB4 bin as everyone else but the supplier claiming they were FA1 bin.
I donât have anymore drivers for the MT09R sadly. Although the red drivers that come in the MT09R now can be modded to be like the ones I used to make. In which case it does not take very long to do the work if you canât do it yourself.
Does anyone have idea of XHP bining on this MT09 puppy ?
Cause I need to build a much more powerful image projector ( than my SR90 olight based one)
So I hesitate to build from scratch or use this as base.
Considering that I will reuse all my optical stuff.
In stock form the LED bin varies depending on the tint. I am not sure what they use now days but in the past the NW was the best bin, something like an N2 IIRC. The WW and CW were lower bins.
Well, my xhps in my mto9r finally smoked. So i took the driver and used it in my imalent dx80⌠it was a lot to figure out⌠but my question is, im running all 8 xhp70âs in parallel on 2s4p batt pack from dx80, just rewired. Can i add a second fet chip on the empty spot and run 2 together.?. And can i buy these drivers still?
Yes, you should be able to add a second FET, although honestly you would be better off replacing the other one as well so both are the same model, from the same batch for the best chance at success.
I do not offer these drivers anymore, the designs should be in the Texas Avenger driver thread, if not I have them floating around someplace.
Itâs a pleasure to have you onboard, SuperSin!

Yeah, thatâs what I was going to ask you about. Years ago I bought about 9-10 built lights from Mountain Electronics and since a couple years have passed, I wanted to buy again but it seems they stopped selling built flashlights. Started searching around the web and found this forum, seems Iâm a bit late here also. Anyhow, let me know when you ever modded lights for sale again. Thank you for your reply.
Yeah, most of the old timers are out of the game now but https://skylumen.com/ it still kicking it seems. If you want modded lights he would be my go to.
