Carbon Fibre Spare Cell Carriers

I made some custom prototype carbon fibre spare cell carriers, the idea being a nice way to carry a spare cell in your pocket etc.
Made from various sizes of CF 3K tube, there are magnets in the top of each unit keeping the cells in place.
A sharp tap gets them out. Takes a couple of hours to make each one by hand.
Obviously not waterproof as these are meant for pocket or bag carry.
These can have an open end, magnetic closed cap, two piece fully enclosed, split ring attachment or bare bones.
I could possibly make these for sale in any size for a fair price if there is interest. Prices probably from £10-£18.

10440 Split Ring - Open End.

14500 - Open End.

16340 - Open End

16340 - Fully Enclosed/ Split Ring.

18350 - Open End.

18350 - Closed End Magnetic Cap

18350 Dual - Open End.

18650 - Open End.

18650 Compared to cheap silicone carrier.

I made a 14500 version with built in 500mA charging unit for my own personal use.

Could you make me an 18500 closed end magnetic so I’d always have a spare cell for my EDC light?

Same style 14500 and possibly 10440 as well depending on what it costs…

I love the look of carbon fiber but have never played with it. I have a carbon fiber tripod and 2 mono-pods that are just exceptional, my primary monopod is a Gitzo that can hold over 60 lbs! This one comes in handy when I have to take a low angle shot and then get back up off the ground! lol

Please PM me some details… Very interested! (Wish I could fly over to Scotland to see our friends there and just swing by and pick up some lights and cell carriers! But, alas, this is not an oil well owning Texan.)

Sure, I will send you a message later on when I have some more time :+1:

Nice! Possible to get 18650 with closed end and clip?

But honestly, I'd rather know the price first.

I received the enclosed 18350 cell carrier the other day. Top notch build quality was a given, still very impressed. Those carbon fiber tubes are very stiff for how light they are. I’m curious what you used for the end caps. Seems like a black jb weld or other epoxy with something sparkly (maybe graphite) in it.
Thanks for a great little carrier

they look very nice!

Cool.
Yeah, that’s a high density mix of aluminium powder, iron oxide and flint particles to give it a nice glittery look.
Just be careful with that, no sudden strikes or voltage etc.

Beautiful CRX.

Your work is always not just engineered perfection, but I can see the creative artist in you as well. A rare combination.

I think it is time to open the CRX web shop soon
featuring hand built lights, glow gaskets, custom copper pieces and CF battery carriers…. and more

I'll admit to keeping an eye on his CRX Stuff for Sale thread
