this would be cool indeed. :+1:
if they make this right it can be a very good competitor to both fireflies and emisar, i hope atleast a few of the color options will be available on purchase later on and with matching aux leds would really be nice if they could do.

AUX leds are awesome feature for modern lights but i seldom switch ON. Too many lights lying around, i afraid battery gets fully drained by accident.

And so do the aux LED boards if you’re using a lexel design.

Interested.
Can someone make an educated guess at the expected turbo output powered off a single 26650? And for how long?

The drivers LVP only works when the light is turned on. It does not work when the light is turned off so high parasitic drain can still be an issue.
You really do need one of Lexels designs that can shut the aux leds down completely at low voltage if you want to be on the safe side.
You want to use protected cells if you want to be super safe.
The best thing to do is to mechanically lock out a light if you are done using it. Then you don’t have any of these potential issues.

But the MF01 aux driver is designed by Lexel so it shoukd be the same as the ones in the fireflies

What is the driver design, a FET?
If so, then expect very high output for a very short time on turbo. Maybe 20-30 seconds, but this depends on the battery and the thermal mass which we don’t know. So maybe longer with a high capacity cell and if it has a lot of mass. The design is like a more powerful Emisar d4s. You would definitely want to run it a bit below turbo if you want longer run times.
This is all a guess, we have to wait for tests to see actual numbers.

I think the driver is gonna be similar to the FW3A. FET+7+1. Default ceiling will be maximum 7135 and then turbo will be full FET. Ramp ceiling on the FW3A is about 700 lumens which is decent for maximum regulated current on such a small light. On this particular light maximum regulated current might produce in excess of 1000 lumens. It will be very handy!

Rost333 is showing a different light, so size is not comparable. He was simply refering to the finish.
I don’t know how good a raw aluminum finish will be. They tend to oxidize over time and look nasty. Anodization maintains it’s appearance.

They could clear anodize raw aluminum, like Fireflies does.

Is their “clear” anodized really that or just an aluminum color anodization? I haven’t been following it.
