That’s a Sanrenmu Land 811, the smaller brother of the SRM Land 9104
It comes with two washers per side, after polishing the copper ones it’s nearly as smooth as the big brother with ball bearings
It’s just so much easier to make scales that way, I definitely won’t make another linerless scale for a framelock flipper again
The scale is made from carbon fiber on both of them, on the SRM 811 I used some selfmade blackwood carbon fiber (epoxy 5 or more sheets of cf, saw it in a square angle). I used a base plate of cf to get only the fibers but no woven pattern at the side

IIRC I got the SRM 811 from Exduct and it was more expensive than any of my knives from the 910+ series 
(still less than $20)
All in all the size suits me well. The SRM 710 is too small and I hate the tip down only clip, even though it was the first knife I made a scale for
the SRM 910 feels a bit too big for edc but perfect for real work.

My Land 8103 was awkward to open. It needed more force than normal, in a very particular direction.
Was not just a one-off, most owners at the time said the same, even the stores who sold it!
I don’t know if they improved it in later batches.
Messerunco who sell the Land 812 Ti specfically state “optimal detent, unlike the steel version”. So I guess that means the steel version still sucks !
Well, mine didn’t suck when it was new and I have no problem with the thumb studs like others, so I was positively surprised.
But polishing the metal washers definitely helped, I can shake it to close at the last half.
The metal washer must lay on the blade obviously. And oh, there were some burrs on the outside at the pivot screw.

As it comes it should cost as much as a SRM 710 but on them I never had such issues. Also the 910s I had in hand were all close to perfect.
For a tinkerer like me the 811 is a good knife but it should’ve appeared like 5 years ago already.
Yes, I have many 710s, 910s and other SRM models with no fit & finish issues. 8103 just seemed to be a turkey … at the time a store rep told me they were aware of the problem and it would be revised.
It’s funny, around the same time Sanrenmu were moving towards more ‘premium’ offerings (sometimes $70 or more) and yet they had many quality issues on the 8103/4 - which in my opinion was a little bit overpriced anyway. I guess maybe their attention was elsewhere.
Anyway it is a shame now there are many interesting models which you cannot buy from Gearbest, Fasttech, Exduct etc. You can only buy them from European dealers or a couple of Aliexpress stores with high prices.

I guess it’s hard to resist Ganzo’s FH41 and FH51. However, I found the Sanrenmu 9165 on your blog and this one seem to be the right thing. Sandvik 12C27 steel, carbon fibre handle and slipjoint with removable lock pin for the price of a tasty steak meal. Moreover, this knife will be conform to Germany‘s (stupid) §42a.
Can anyone help me to pick the right seller? I saw it here for a bit less and customer feedback is quite good.
However, this here seems to be the „authentic“ Sanrenmu store but it’s more expensive.
I bought from them the aluminum version, they are a good store. Its the genuine item with the box.
