[Unboxing] FOLOMOV EDC C2 (Nichia E21A HiCRI)

In a modern city, it is brightly lit after the night.
Small flashlights that can be easily carried are still more practical
The willingness to carry around is also high

General EDC flashlight
It is reasonable to use a lithium battery with a size of 18350 or less.
So I also have a lot of related flashlights.

FOLOMOV recently launched a flashlight EDC C2
Use a rechargeable 14300 lithium battery
Make the whole flashlight smaller and more cute

Thanks for watching

Sweet light and always amazing photos

Looks nice.

Does it work with primary CR2 ?

No, can’t work with 3V

Thanks for the pics. I received mine yesterday.

NOT the “wave” UI that is in other Folomov lights and as described in their online info for this light!!

Mode sequence is L-M-H-L-M-H.

The moonlight is much higher than the specified .5 lumens, but I have no way to measure it.

The tint and CRI are beautiful on this light.

The switch is very easily activated, so the light needs to be locked out when not in use - either with the electronic lockout or ~ 1/8 turn of the tail cap.

The hot spot is pretty tight and intense for close up use, so I’m contemplating some sort of flip up diffuser that could be tethered to the clip, but haven’t come up with a solution, yet.

The diffuser from my Wuben E05 will fit and effectively diffuses the beam, but fits loosely.

This is a cute and impressive light, though the runtimes, even on the lower modes, aren’t very impressive.

The pocket clip is very snug, but will still open up enough to mount on thicker brimmed hats.

The combination of small size and magnetic tail cap mean that the light can easily be mounted to any ferrous material - even the top of door hinges.

This light does easily fit in the coin pocket of my jeans, but I haven’t decided how I’m actually going to carry the light.

Very nice experience, thank you

the 3000k E21a is a fun warm led

too bad the C2 still does not include moonlight in memory
too bad the C2 requires hold for off, instead of click
too bad the C2 requires the uncommon battery

has anyone confirmed the lumen levels of the C2?
on the Folomov C1 moonlight spec is 0.5, but actual value is 2 lumens (sad)

I much prefer the Olight UI and the accurate moonlight specs, but have no love for the LED they use

The C2 hold for off is very short - hardly a hold at all - nothing like my Wuben E05.

Hold for moonlight is also very short, so I don’t mind not having it in the memorized group. I prefer having direct access to moonlight, rather than having to remember to turn it off in moonlight, if I want the next access to be moonlight.

I agree

however, after moonlight, I do NOT want High, nor Medium, which is what the Folomov will do Unless I remember to turn it off in Low

IF moonlight was able to be memorized, that would prevent the Folomov UI from jumping from moon to Medium or High

with the Olight UI, regardless what the last mode was, IF I use the shortcut to moonlight, the next mode will Always be Low. Without any need to prememorize Low, that the Folomov Requires

basically, the Folomov UI is totally UNpredictable. I never know what level it will jump to after moonlight, since I dont always remember to turn it off on Low first.

I HATE the Folomov memory because it does not do LMH after moonlight

I Love the Olight UI, because it Always goes to Low after moonlight, as it should be.
And, the Olight UI has the same shortcut to moonlight as Folomov, PLUS the Olight UI Does memorize moonlight.

The poor UI sounds disappointing to an otherwise unique light. I just keep thinking something like a triple E21A in something like an S2+ shorty would be pretty sweet.

3000k is a great fully dark adapted Color Temperature and works great on the nightstand for bathroom runs. fwiw 3000k is the same CCT as the incandescent bulbs in my house.

I put a very high priority on the High CRI, enough to tolerate the UI
in fact, I hate the Low CRI of the Olights so much, that I would buy the Folomov over the Olight, for the LED alone.

but I would not EDC 3000k during the day, its just too warm (yellow), and dim looking, when my brain is adapted to daylight.

I would’ve honestly loved a 4000k E21A.

24 minutes on turbo, 30 minutes on high… then charge her back up. But I still want this light at 2.1 inches in length.

just an LED mod and Bob’s Your Uncle

Thanks for the review steel_1024.

Did you purchase the light?

Where did you buy it?

Thanks…

Olight tints have sucked for so long it’s reason to utterly dismiss the entire brand .
They made interesting looking lights and just shot themselves in the foot as far as tint. Olight has to be giving lights away for me to even begin to look their direction .

I bought mine on Amazon using a 20% off coupon listed in M4D M4X review thread.
