As the coupon no longer worked, I bought one with batteries from Sofirm at Aliexpress.
I think I made a good deal…
In Banggood it would now cost me $50.99 without batteries (with shipping) while the Aliexpress cost me $53.04 one with batteries (also with shipping).
Now I just hope Sofirm sends me a BLF…
Just got notification that mine is out for delivery and has actually been delivered. I am at work so will check that assumption later. Its Yodel so who knows
I caved and bought one on amazon too. Says there are 8 left in stock now. It says free expedited shipping, I assume it’s shipping from china, unless Sofirn has a warehouse in the US.
That is expedited. Normal china shipping doesn’t even have active tracking for like a week. 4 days to have the package actually trackable and making progress is pretty good for china shipping.
I am comparing my original XP-L2 (6000lm) with this LH351D (5650lm) and this BLF model is significantly dimmer than the original. Is this to be expected? Would 350lm make that much difference?
Have tried several sets of batteries at different amps and results are the same. This light sure doesn’t SEEM like it 5650 lumens. Several of my smaller 26650 lights appear much brighter.
What’s everyone’s experience now that they have had them for a few weeks?
The XP-L2 70CRI still has a lower VF than the 90CRI LH351D, making it draw more current.
The LH351D 90CRI is a less efficient LED.
The LH351D is quite a bit floodier, making it seem less bright.
I mean, if my modded LH351D 90CRI BLF Q8 with dual BeCu springs can only reach around 5200 lumens OTF, then a stock Sofirn SP36 90CRI LH351D won’t get more than that.
