ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

This.

The Small Sebenza clone is nearly in your budget at around 30€…
Lovocoo Small Sebenza

This is a mighty fine fixed blade that will serve you well for what you need.

Ganzo makes a mighty fine fixed blade as well. If you don’t plan on carrying them on a regular basis a fixed blade will do real nice at the campsite.

Not black, same knife as above, closer to your budget:

Slightly bigger (18cm) but as a flipper:

Be careful that’s not same as the Lovocoo version.

Thanks X3, I guess I missed that in my extensive AliExpress search. It is not black, but may serve my requirements in some way
It is still bigger than mine, and not black but the pocket clip may do the trick. And despite being a clone, seems to have good quality.

Thanks for your suggestions too, Adahn! Those seem even slightly bigger then the SRM. Still, may become an option in case I need a similar bigger knife!
Thanks again :+1:

You’re welcome. And Isti is most likely right, for the actual use both with serve the purpose I guess.

So now a family shot with a “banknote” from a bottle with “alcohol that smells so good but tastes yuk!” as my son said so.

My first flipper. Woohoo!

That’s a very good start! :+1: Especially the color!

Thanks, isti242. Your review of this knife was partly responsible for me pulling the trigger on it.

On an unrelated topic, this fixed blade Morakniv stainless knife is on sale for $8.99, after a $2 off WOOTLUCK coupon applied at checkout. Shipping is free if you have Amazon Prime.

Not sure how good these knives are. Amazon reviews seem very positive.

Thanks for the heads up about the Mora deal Pete. Those are actually very decent knives & the price is a steal. :+1:

Absolutely. Mora Companions are fantastic knives.

An Opinel and a Mora, that's all you need

ok just kidding!

New Kizer Domin Mini is out. 2.85” blade versus the 3.5” original blade length. Looks pretty nice. I don’t know if these are new or just, new to me. I like Kizer knives so I thought I would share. Not affiliated with this site or anything. I just like their selection and free shipping on any order.

The minis are new. For me even the full sized Domin is quite EDC friendly thanks to its slim design.

I wish more companies (Chinese) would offer a Mini line. I find something with a blade length between 2 7/8” & 3 1/8” just about perfect in a folder. Not to big, so it is easily controllable; yet big enough for most any chore expected of a folder…. up to and including dressing most American big game. ymmv

That’s why I enjoy my Sanrenmu Land 811. 3” blade, 8Cr14MoV, I wish it was the Sandvik steel from the 910 series.
Washers, safer when closing it than ball bearings, at least for me.

The next knife I’d buy is the Ganzo FH51, small enough for edc yet still a usable size. D2 steel, I think I’ll like it…

Otherwise you could still try the Sebenza flipper and be the first one to write a review about it

What I don’t like in the FH51 is that strange cutout in the blade for your finger. First - it means it’s a small knife for people with big hands. If you have smaller hands it means that the cutting edge is further away from your fingers which can be annoying. Second - it reduces the length of the cutting edge.

You must try a finger choil to know if you like it. I definitely do so on my Malyshev Gnome and on my Spyderco Caly 3

My working day edc knife

The sharpest knife I own with perfect ergonomics, perfect to cut off a sole (I’m an orthopedic shoemaker by profesion)

I have a full sized Domin as well and I agree, it is easy to carry everyday. I have a Begleiter as well that gets lots of carry time. I find that the slimmer the knife is the easier it is to carry for me. If a smaller bladed knife is too fat I find I won’t carry it much. Just not as comfortable as a larger blade in the thinner frame.
