Intention
If there is enough interest, I would contact a machine shop to determine if the project is feasible.

This is an interest poll, not a commitment from you, or me. IF there is enough interest, I will offer the bezels through a For Sale Ad, and at that time we can make a commitment, and specify if you want more than one of either type.

I have not determined whether to offer trits installed, or just the plain trit ready bezel, opinions welcome. Im also not sure how much complexity I want to add to the process in terms of stocking and offering more trit colors. Suggestions and preferences welcome.

My plan is to request that the bezels be cloned, and extended just enough to provide room for horizontal trit slots, similar to the HDS in the picture. That bezel is available here for $70US, if you have a tritless HDS
(I am not affiliated)

To motivate a group to buy of a batch order, my pricing goal is $36 for the tritless bezel, which is almost 50% below the retail price of the HDS bezel. I do not know MOQ required to achieve that size of a discount yet, the price point is just an initial wishful guesstimate. The Jetbeam bezels do use less material.

I have a new and an old RRT-01 and would immediately buy such bezels, preferably with green trits. And it would be great if there would be different designs! Really good idea Jon_Slider, thanks for that :+1:

Cool :sunglasses: I’d be interested in one for a tcr1 …. Maybe one for the original as well.

thanks for the interest
I have emailed a couple of bezel producers and asked for price estimates for stainless bezels for the Aluminium lights, and Titanium bezels for the TCR-1

will share progress and pricing as more info becomes available.

I am requesting a 3/16” extension to the existing smooth bezels. To save on costs I am not asking for any crenelations.

But Im curious if anyone here would want crenelations. Not aggressive, nor sharp, just smoothly rounded indentations, for the purpose of showing the light is on when standing on its head. Feedback welcome.

an example of crenelations used to reveal a light is ON when doing a headstand

Smooth crenelations would be nice, if they would not drive the cost too high.

I would be in heaven if this would be able to fit my Eye10. ?

pol77, I agree. I like the option to see the light is on when standing on its head. But so far, no progress on a trit bezel.

travis, the Eye10 has the same bezel as the original RRT-01, so yes, a trit bezel would fit both models

however, Ive had no response from the two contacts I wrote to about trit bezels, I dont know why no replies…
so atm, no progress

Maybe in time, some options will arise.

Still no progress
I resent emails from a non yahoo address. In case they were getting diverted to spam

I got a reply from RPM
He said he is too busy with other work and a half dozen bezels is not worth his setup time.

No response from yourlittlecncshop, I dont know why not. Maybe they are not getting my emails. They make $70 ea trit bezels w no trits included, for HDS lights.

They dont list a phone contact, only email. If anyone knows how to reach them, please pm me

Mark Dickinson or emarkd on CPF is a guy to call.

Thanks,
I heard back.

It was a rude awakening
the price was $200 per bezel if I only want six.

I’m a babe in the woods here.

Overly enthusiastic and under Informed
have a laugh at me for imagining a trit bezel for cheap
Im not going to pursue this, now that Ive had a reality check.
