All those colors… it’s like a don’t-ask-don’t-tell S2+ army. 
I just ordered a coupla purple ones. The orange looks really nice, too.

I actually don’t have many S2/S2+ lights, literally only 2 or 3. Black S2 and a Blue S2+, I should address this deficiency…. and that Purple is gorgeous, as is the Orange… and Cyan… and and and
Edit: Oddly enough, I have a Hoop copper spacer for the S2+ sitting here in it’s original wrapping. Never installed. I got two, put one in my Blue S2+ and never did anything with the other one. I had actually entertained selling this Blue one once upon a time and wrote down all the pertinents on one of my business cards, it has 3x XP-L V3 1C emitters and makes 3029 lumens using the A6 firmware from TK. The card sits with the light in a custom tube light display rack made for me by a friend. (robo819, does beautiful wood work and likes to use cedar, which this one is)
I do seem to have a couple of S2’s in short form, one with a UV emitter and another in red emitter variant around here somewhere… the red emitter is, I think, in a red light. The UV one is in black.
Man I need to get with the program!

I’ve been asking Simon for an orange S2+ for years. Nice to see he made one. Just ordered it in the U1 7135x4 flavor as well as the orange 18350 tube. I like orange and like to get specific gear in that color if possible. Now to wait for it to arrive.

lol, i dont mind black, but its not my first choice unless I want to put it on a gun.
Forgot to mention that I did receive the orange S2+ and it really looks nice. This is my woods-carry light since it’s orange. I like to get as much woods gear in orange as I can for the visibility. Also got the 18350 extension for it in orange so I’m all set.
Orange is nice if you wanna go retro. Fake “copper”, without the weight or co$t, doesn’t turn brown after a while so always looks new, and stick a nice WW LED in there behind a TIR lens, and whether fullsize or with a shorty tube, you got a nice light.
Yes, quite true, orange or any other bright colour will show up nicely in the bush. I always keep bright coloured items whenever possible while tramping.

Ive just ordered an LG3535
I want something as powerful as possible for uranium glass. I believe 365nm is better and less purple is visible but many of the cheap LED’s also emit visible white light that needs a filter to remove.
You’ll need a filter for the LG LED as well. There is quite a bit of visible blue light emitted.
Yes im expecting that, all I think the difference is between these UV LED’s is the amount of true “UV” light emitted.
Im not sure what exact UV wavelength(s) cause fluorescence, but technically it is the invisible part such as UV B or C.
Or else blocking the visible “blue” part of the UV spectrum would make the glass fluoresce less bright if it has any effect?
The ’502 got a generic 385nm-395nm LED drop-in.
I got a black UV S2+ and just transplanted its pill into a violet host, sticking in a ZWB2 filter while I was at it.
