Sofirn C01S SST-20 4.000K 95CRI / Low-High version available again!

If you smoke or have smoking friends, look at the Gizeh rolling paper for tobacco. The package has a small magnet that fits perfectly for c01/c01s. I glued two together and they nicely fill the magnet hole and hold the light.

Else these magnets cost like 1 to 2 cents, but you usually have to order a boatload of these.

Not as strong as I would like but adequateā€¦

That is a very cool picture! :+1:

I may have overlooked one, but can someone post a picture of one of these next to a Tool AA or Ultratac A1?

Also, do we have measurements on this light? (Length, bezel width, tube width)

Dimensions areā€¦

Length: 71.47mm
Bezel d:14.47mm
Tube d: 13.92mm

I donā€™t have a Tool AA but I do have a Tool AAA:

I also missed the first batch. +1 for second run :+1:

Awesome, thank you!

If they made more of the original C01 with Yuji in 3200K, in any finish, Iā€™m sure people would buy them. (The cooler temp version hung around longer on eBay.) I think a lot of the suggestions so far would sell. Iā€™m sure a poll wouldnā€™t hurt. Sofirn gets a bunch of free market research and instant cred in the community.

Iā€™m only one guy but consider this. I never owned a Sofirn before the C01 was made for us here. It was fairly unique and I respected that they made it for us, so I bought one. I loved it! So I bought a few more. When the color-anodized versions came out, I tried to buy a few of those. (Sadly, they disappeared into shipping limbo en route from China.) When the BLF version of the C01S came out, I ordered a few of those. Thatā€™s at least ten successful sales. Iā€™ve given a few away and Iā€™ve given Sofirn strong recommendations to people elsewhere in the EDC/gear community.

AFAIK the 5mm bulb the C01 uses has been discontinued. I was going to buy the cool one on ebay but that sold the next day! :person_facepalming:

Dag. Well, Iā€™m open to new things. Hopefully, the industry will come out with some new LEDs that achieve legendary status like the now past Nichia 219B. Sofirn or other makers will make awesome flashlights with them. Weā€™ll all buy a bunch!

Is this orange or Yellow Tritium? and also, how much NOA61 glue did you need? I am not sure if I need to buy 1cc (ml) or 2.

Thanks in advance!

Sitting on top of it's bigger brother. Digging the raw look.

Itā€™s orange but it looks more like yellow to me. Get the smallest bottle of NOA 61 - you really do not need much.

Sorry for the Ultratac A1 being absent (itā€™s in the truck ATM), but does this lineup do it for ya?

PS - my BLF Edition C01S came in today!

Thank you!

I would not mind stainless. I have two stainless steel lights and they keep looking great after years and years of keychain use.

I just use silicone glue [the white stuff that comes in a squeeze tube]. I just put a dab on the bottom of the whole and press down until level with the light, and wipe off any excess that squeezes out.

Oh dang, thats perfect. I have a E05 and a Mi7 and that really shows how small this little bugger is.

I just got the light yesterday evening and I really like the light it produces, tint and beam. The two levels are good. I didnā€™t like the unannodized look at first, but the industrial look has grown on me now.

I got mine too. I only wish the knurling wasnā€™t so fine.

Now that I have one in hand I think I may not appreciate other materials as much since itā€™s basically all knurling. The other lights in gchartā€™s picture you can see only put knurling in the front and back primarily.

Stealing a pic from Tally-ho in another thread I think some of the knurling could be a bit wider on the head and then the body knurling replaced by something like this to better appreciate the material and still keep it a bit tactile:
