The switch is NOT attached to the driver board, it’s on a stand alone daughter board.

It looks like they confirmed (on the product page in bold) you can choose between old and “new” switch and that the “new” switch has a more positive click.

Does the Copper coating mean clear anodizing or is there another method for antioxidation?

I don’t want any coating on the Cu version. I don’t see the point in doing that. Might just do a Cu coloured anodized version then and make it a lot cheaper.
