I seen those on aliexpress for $2ish normally. Not sure about the LED inside though.
Just used the 20% off coupon to grab a few Thorfire lights for ~$14 and change. For the record this was 2 different lights, I couldn’t order 2 of the same and get the coupon to apply to both.
They managed to screw up the site again so you cant even find lightning deals, seems like it happens a few times a year

The A1 has better mode spacing when running on NiMH, and also more neutral tint.
AA V2 has better mode spacing when running on Li-Ion.
Tool AA V2 also has mode memory.
