Darn it. I thought this said titanium (not gray).
Anxiously waiting for my panda to arrive, should look sharp! (and come to think of it, itāll be my first white flashlight)
Well, I looked at these, butt I went with the 2.0 rated at 650lemons w/magnetic tail. (and cheaper)
Interesting pico.
Tool AA 2.0 would be perfect light as a gift for elderly people if it on had just one mode ON/OFF.
This days it is impossible to find small ON/OFF led light powered by AA battery.
Btw, I like the āwhiteā color.
They have been selling a single mode AA/14500 SK68 for almost 153 years now.
Tried 1 or 2 of those, driver is sh, flickers, no low battery warningā¦
Would rather like Tool AA
So? Is the magnetic tail cap included?
I guess not?
no
just the diffuser
Sad, the magnetic tailcap would be a plus!
Does the one of the v1 fits on the v2?
beside the color mismatch...
threads are identically
works on Titanium gray without problems
white not good (seems tail threads are conductive)
I ordered the Titanium Grey and received White.
Almost ready to pull the trigger, but Iām wondering about the current draw. In Bilakosās review of the previous (black) version, it appears as if the light draws around 2.6A at 4.1V, and I assume that the load from a full battery will be higher. Iāve got some protected Soshine 14500s that I bought some time ago which were never used, and the wrapper states they are rated for 2.7A. Can I use those batteries without tripping the protection circuit? Or has the output been reduced with this light (550lm instead of 650lm - not sure if thatās a mistake), so that it now draws a lower current?

I would imagine the protection is really only going to kick in for a direct short on these types of batteries. I would bet it will work fine if the size and everything else is acceptable.

Thanks :+1: Never used 14500s before, so I wasnāt sure - I got these for a project that never materialised. Length is exactly 50mm including button, so I guess they should be fine.
EDIT: Just ordered the Panda Tool!
I use the Soshines in my Tool AAās (both original and 2.0) without issue.
Is the white tool anodized or painted?
