WTS: Sofirn loot boxes / half-price variety packs

Do you have any lights that don’t work because the driver or leds are broken? If yes, I would be interested to get some as hosts for modding.

By the way, did you ever get an international shipping quote? Maybe fewer lights and less weight would be feasible? I wish, I would also get whole boxes of flashlights sent from Sofirn. :sunglasses: :smiling_imp:

I love those quotes! :+1:
I got another one: „There is none so deaf as those who will not hear.“

I do to!! . And there is truth in all of them.

Don’t write it off as absolute unwillingness. It often is a mix of language and cultural differences.
Last week I (YYY) asked a seller (XXX) if he could provide me with a retaining ring. This is what happened:

Hello XXX,

I have not heard from you in some days now.

Are you still looking? Please let me know.
If you are not looking any longer, that’s OK.
In that case I will try some other sources.

Best regards,
YYY

I reply you last time.

His second answer keeps me totally in the dark. As did his first answer.
Maybe he is just too polite, or too proud, to tell me he can’t help me.
IDK. Won’t ask him no more.

That might be the only place it’s needed. Generally, the more mainstream the shop, the lower the ratio of buyers who are connoisseurs. And a lot of people don’t read manuals. So a big store like Amazon is probably one of the best places to put extra info about basic things like battery covers.

But it could help to put a card about it into the box… similar to the card in the FW3A box about opening the front instead of the back.

I’m putting together a post with details about the remaining stock. It just takes a while because I have to check a bunch of lights again, move things around to make coherent sets, etc.

About international shipping, it really heavily depends on where it’s going to. And I’m not sure how batteries would work; it may be necessary to ship without any batteries.

Ok, a box of SP36 sounds good.

Yeah, way too many buyers won’t read the manual… especially Sofirn’s, since you dang near need a microscope to see that tiny writing. A separate piece of paper or card stock with large print would work, though. “WARNING! Blah blah blah…”

Caleb, good choice. I definitely like my SP36.

I was putting together the SP36 boxes today, and noticed something in the USPS requirements for li-ion batteries… maximum of 8 cells per package.

Originally I was planning to make an “A stock” box with all the accessories and batteries, and a “B stock” box where items aren’t in perfect condition… but it doesn’t look like they allow so many cells in one box. Think it’s worth trying anyway, or would it be better to put half of the cells in one box and half in the other?

PM sent for SP36 box. Batteries not needed.

Is there any way to disable memory mode on the SP32a?
I’m really tempted by the box-o-32s, but I’m rather cranky about having mode memory on by default.

PM’d on Box E - sc31

No, it doesn’t have a way to turn off memory. It’s always a single click to turn the light on at the last-used brightness, double-click to go to the highest level, or hold for a few seconds to switch to the other UI style.

It has two UI styles — ramping and a discrete mode group. In ramping, it’s click for on/off, hold to change brightness, double click for high, or triple click for strobe. In the mode group, it’s mostly the same except it uses click to change levels and hold to turn off.

So I configured them to use the ramping UI.

My “Loot Box” arrived a couple of hours ago. The lights are essentially just brand new lights. All mine are 100% in appearance & working order. A handful of batteries that are the same. All very well & securely packed, delivered promptly from ‘God’s Country’ to Alabama.

Thank you TK. . :+1:

If anyone should be sick and tired of using magnifying glasses to read the manuals, you can conveniently download and reprint them from my sharepoint.

Thanks Lux-Perpetua!!

YES!
I’m tired of having to use the zoom on my phone camera to read the fuzzy microprint they call a manual!

Thanks!

What? I thought Alabama was God’s Country.

My space rock isn’t even really a country… it’s more like an extra-remote vacation home.

Just a few boxes left. I updated the OP with the details.

 . You thought right… It surely is. :+1:
But after spending two summers, years ago; traveling around & exploring many of the more remote areas in the general vicinity of your “space rock”…. I can honestly say it is “God’s Country” too. Just a different slice than Alabama.

I loved it……
