As for LEDs, I took Biscotti *8 option — is it the case? It should be also possible to order it with SST40, I think. Anyway, you may just ask Simon a question about an absent combination, this option is very cool feature of the brand :)
Frequently I see posts where links are avoided and wonder why? When it's a helpful link on info, deal or to just buy something, it's all good for everyone.
If you get the driver with Biscotti and an SST40, it won’t be the brightest - there’s a 5A drivers that’ll run it far harder than the Biscotti driver but without a nice UI.
That said, you’re gonna find your hand awfully warm running 5A in the S2+ at 100%
You are welcome.
Just in case: that orange color is not an “acid orange” like orange fruit or carrot inside. It is darker a bit, still nice for me, but harder to describe. Red might be the same, I think - not the brightest and most shiny tone.
Thanks for the link.
As for reasons, I agree, just saw forums which prohibit (any?) links because of advertisement, fraud or malware reasons. Sometimes there are intents like blocking other platforms for communication to keep audience at themselves. Even saw forums which add account restrictions after sending links in private messages.
Shipping started May 27th. I doubt anyone has had one long enough for a review. I ordered mine May 28th - and it just arrived in the states (Denver Colorado) per tracking. Should get to where I live (Oregon) by Thursday/Friday.
Just wondering, since I notice that the regular S2+ and C8+ also have SST40 LED variants.
So the S2+ with SST40 is basically the same as the S21A (with SST40), except the S21A has access to more power (due to more powerful 21700 battery), and they use the same 4-mode driver.
Same goes with the C8+ with SST40 (which now has 2 variants: “ramping” and “4-mode” driver), the M21A (C8 that uses 21700 battery) would be the same as the C8+ with SST40 (4-mode driver), but with access to more powerful 21700 battery.

question:
I’m guessing the Convoy L21A with SST40 be more throwy (throws farther) than the Convoy L2 with XHP50.2, but less throwy than Convoy L2 with XPL-Hi, right?
