I may be down played for this, but my 2nd purchase with Neal went bad.
I’m not bashing nor ranting. More at reaching out to find a 26980 cell.

Back in January I purchased a Nightwatch Avaritia N40SE and shipping was fast. So I promptly ordered the extension tube with a 26980 battery. After a month had no order fulfillment. Things dragged on and after repeated emails all I got was the tube is in BO. 2 months later had a confirmation of shipment but tracking was erroneous. 3 months, still nothing. I reached out to Tatasal to which he said Neal would email me - no such thing happened. 4 months and I get a refund (Paypal) and a message from Tatasal that Neal cancelled the order.

TL;DR Neal has a communication problem. He is overwhelmed with orders / design / production shortcomings. English not his strong point, he doesn’t return any mail when things are problematic (too time consuming). The battery most probably does not ship here to Canada and the shipment is retained or returned to sender. This I assumed and offered an alternative. But as he has his hands full, it falls on deaf ears.

In short, deceived of his ability to return emails. This I feel was mismanaged; I would have taken the extension tube and found the cell from another source.

So I’m looking around for a work around. Found the cell elsewhere but shipping is high.

Damn Canadian shipping regulations. I believe they use commercial flights for shipping, passenger safety prohibits hazardous material transportation. They could use ground as DHL.

My experience with Neal has all been quite good as well. Even back when he worked for banggood he did a great job. I actually thought for a while he was the owner of banggood for that reason. Many lights including 3 of my BLFGTs and others on the shelf are from Neals Gadgets.

I ordered L16 5000K. It comes on time but without pocket clips.
I write to Neal, but he stopped replying to my e-mails.
Fortunately hkequipment solve the problem. I ordered them another light and they add one clip for free.
Do know what to say.

Been ordering from Neal for the past couple of years. Overall great experience.

Neal quickly addressed concerns about the FW3A optic change and gives all indications of doing right by his customers.

IMO, good communication and honesty with customers is one of the most important things a business can do, and this is an example of Neal getting it right.

When I ordered my PL47 from him I had some issues. He never sent the battery and the light never came with a tube to use 18650s. The light was completely useless. It took about 2-3 weeks to get the battery and 18650 tube. I’m just glad that I eventually got them.

Stuff happens, and sounds like he made it right. You said you got the apparently ’missing items’ in 2 weeks??
Sounds pretty good to me.

I ordered a BLF GT70 (one of several) and it arrived damaged and the wrong color. This box must have fallen out of the airplane - the head of the flashlight is bent which is shocking given the thickness of the metal. The handling might be the fault of DHL but the color selection is an error at the store.

I have emailed and messaged Neal - awaiting response.

Yes I can’t screw the battery tubing into the head it’s so bent.

Mine head was bent the same way. Poor packaging.
Neal should improve communication skills for sure.
I imagine many emails he is getting, but that’s the way it is in business.
All should be replied.
