Favorite cheap thing(s) to achieve $25 Amazon free shipping?

I sometimes struggle to find something with which to break the $25.00 free shipping threshold at Amazon.

The dogs have enough chewies, I have way too many meaningless widgets that languish.

What are your favorite things in the $3.00 ~ $10.00 range you use to qualify an order for free shipping?

Prime doesn't count.

Great... Carnac the Magnificent tells me I just signed up for yet another expensive hobby.

Amazon batteries are usually reasonably priced and a decent add on ..

I use to do what Boaz suggested. Their AA and AAA NiMh cells are on point. I have Prime now so I don’t always do that unless they are on sale.

I had never been to that site that Hank suggested but it looks like it could help out as well.

Usually nothing. Annoys me no end…

Plus, a lot of things I’d look for (eg, cheap usb cable/adapter) are free shipping so don’t count towards the minimum… OR are obscenely expen$ive for some reason (I don’t want nor need a gold-plated braided-with-unicorn-hair light-up 12” cable for 15bux).

I’m crapping batteries so don’t need any more.

Can’t think of any trash items with which to pad out an order anymore.

So I just quietly seethe until I find something I do need… and by then any sale/coupon/code/whatever on the original item is done. Sick

I often tend towards household consumables, if they’re priced comparably against local retail establishments.
Things like lightbulbs, floss, etc. Stuff that you need to replenish regularly anyway, so there’s no harm in buying extra.

1. Try to see if it’s more expensive to order 15$ of stuff with shipping, or less.

If it’s the latter, then just buy it.

Maybe chip in with a few family members and split the cost of a prime membership, would be cheaper in the long run then buying stuff you dont really need.

Yep.

The best way to have more money in your account… is to not spend anything useless.

Gnope, wouldn’t count. Anything with “free shipping” is on the seller’s dime, not part of the FBA party.

And of course I just ordered a set. Facepalm

Oh, anyone wants something cheap but good, Winco chinese cleaver. Anything from hacquing through a melon to mashing garlic, it’s my go-to kitchen tool. About 10bux 13bux a pop, you could also get a set of 6 or 24(!) if you wanna gift ‘em.

Be reeeeally careful wiping ‘em down, as I got nicked when not careful.

Might be different listings now, as I got a tupac way back when. Now it’s only 1/6/24.

Go crazy…

I have Prime. Yes, it doubled in price recently, but I still think it’s worth it at least for me. I buy a ton of stuff from them, and I watch Prime movies and TV shows. I’m getting more than my money’s worth.

Just FIY, as I mentioned to Boaz, the handle on mine felt like untreated wood, not shiny like in the photos on Amazon, so I sprayed a few coats of Crystal Clear on it right after I received it. It was a different listing though and almost 4 years ago. YMMV

Yeah as I mentioned you can split cost with other family who live at different address, I can’t recall how many addresses is the max, like 3-5. I’m on my brothers account, in return I gave him my netflix log in so he uses that.

This is what we do . My son shares our Netflix and we share his Prime. Really easy to do also. Just enter your address and credit card into the shipping and payment options and check them at checkout.

Bug-light, needed 2bux worth to make the minimum.

At least I needed a spatula. Getting tired of feathering a fork across a cast-iron pan when frying eggs. Got a cheap one for 4bux that looked nice.

Almost told ‘em to go f’emselves with the stoopit 15min deadline to order. Expired, didn’t look like I was going to be able to get it, but reloaded the page and was able to get it on the 2nd try.

Is it just me (or at least my perception), or are food items (jerky, candy, hot-sauce, etc.) from Amazon on the obscenely-expensive side, vs “supermarket prices”?

Can’t really answer that as the “round out the order” jerky has been my only food item.

Jack Link is about the same price. It’s expensive everywhere.
