Will it be offered with xpl HI?

doubt it, this is a flood light not thrower.

They actually did consider an XP-L HI version of the light, I have a prototype with a mixed tint 5A / 1A that is quite nice.

They would have to increase the cost of the light for this though and after testing we found that the SST-20 provided almost the same lumens / throw so it was just a better option in this case considering the trade off in cost / performance to offer an XP-L HI version.

And let’s not forget you’d be getting more throw with the SST-20 5000k-6500k version.

With the XP-L HI, you’d be getting just a bit more lumens, but not nearly enough to actually matter.

interested.

Thanks guys! That’s helpful.

Agreed that there’s too much going on with the AUX lights (and this is coming from someone who loves the idea of AUX lights and what got me interested in this over the D18), and will probably get me to lose interest in its current state and go for something else.

Personally don’t see a need for 3 modes based on voltage since Anduril can show voltage. I can live with it having 3 modes in the end, but having 3 different colors at once looks bad IMO. Preferably just a single LVP mode. Something like one variant above 3.3v (but please no more than 2 different colors) and another variant (i.e. red) at 3.3v or below.

I look forward to seen the color options: Black, Silver , Sand , Red, Purple, Green, Blue.
Althrough I will probably just choose silver.

Announced yesterday. See OP.

Oh cool, thanks.

Are you guys looking forward?

Any idea if the switch will be press fit, or screwed down? I’ve had a lot of switch failures in my lights. I got a worthless Fireflies PL47 with a bad switch and I cannot get the stupid ring off the light to replace the switch and rubber cover.

I wish the sand colour was more like the D18 / E07

The switch area is different on the sand and red vs the other colors. Which one will go into production?

Those have the switch forward, the other have the tripod mount forward, they are all the same.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification.

the switch looks like screwed
