Some Apocalypse Now vibe

I have the first gen, indeed a great watch. Considered to sell it couple of times but decided to keep it at the last moment every time.

… “Get Some” … Nice …

It’s such a classic design! :+1: Did you mod yours with a Dagaz dial?
I rewatched the director’s cut last week.

Yep … Dagaz Mod. Great watch and an awesome movie.

Very nice, which brand/model is this?

Thanks! It`s a remake of the Seiko 6105 by Steeldive with Seiko NH35 movement, sapphire crystal, C3 lume and ceramic bezel insert.

Thanks. Not yet my price range, but certainly worth the price.

I'm wearing with great satisfaction my Orient Mako II (FAA02001B) 200m automatic diver for some time now.

It has the new F6922 automatic in-house movement with manual winding and hacking ...

It fits my wrist perfectly and is remarkably accurate, like +1 second/week, sometimes even better!

I think I'm very lucky with the accuracy I'm getting and payed a good price for it to (for Europe) :D

You sure are. Both my Makos run fast by about 10 seconds per day, alas, it depends on how you rest them, to some extent.

I still like them quite a bit.

As it's my first Orient, I was very surprised by this to and I wouldn't accept a +10 seconds/day at all to be honest.

I wear my piece every day all day long and only putting it off just before going to sleep.

I keep it flat (face up) on my nightstand and every morning only giving it a 5x manual winding, that’s it :D

Perhaps this contributes to the very good accuracy I'm getting, who knows...

If I remember correctly, when new, my Makos were significantly more accurate… within 2 seconds per day. Over time, they got worse.

There is a way to adjust accuracy, but it requires some very precise and steady hands.

EDIT: I went back to check my records. My original Mako actually runs fast by about 30 seconds/day if I leave it face up, but that is the old 46943 movement. My newer Mako USA II with F6922 movement seems to be more accurate so far.

Do I get it right, you guys buy mechanical watches to complain about observe how many seconds the watches run fast or slow instead of buying a quarz watch?

Hmm, on the other hand I mod every knife I get and make a lot of handicraft thing so I guess I understand the fiddling. A bit ;)
