Looks great, Lexel! I assume the aux LEDs would always be on?
if you flash driver and remove the optical nerve resistor you can solder there the Aux supply
then flash a firmware variant that supports the Aux LED option
Looks really good Lexel
Uh ? What is that ?
Also, I might be interested in an Aux LED board for my FW3A

Skynet.
Removed 2 7135’s from my FW3A. It still thermal throttles with a full battery. But with a more empty cell it can sustain max regulated output for a long time (probably indefinitely). I did a calculation to determine how much the efficiency actually went up, and it wasn’t much… But still technically more efficient than the pwm equivalent with 8 drivers.
I was worried that the mode spacing (or ramp rate) would be non linear between the 1x7135 and 6x7135 sections, but it’s still very good.
last night my Glow washer from @CRX came in! unfortunately my pics aren’t uploading but I’m sure you folks have a pretty good idea of how it looks
I’m drooling over here Lexel. Nice work! How soon can we expect these to be ready?
Does anybody know of a diffuser to fit the FW3A?

as the fab screwed me up once I hope in 2-3 weeks

Nope…
[FW3A diffusers being printed] Anyone interested in a diffuser or two? Printing some for a few people, thought I’d see if maybe anyone else wants some and doesn’t have a printer around. Price is $1.50 each, plus whatever shipping costs to mail a 4x4x2 box from 54140 to your zip code. I have these colors available, [image] plus a clear-ish that I have to properly dry before printing again: [image]

Thanks!
25mm… I think there may be a few diffusers from other manufacturers that could fit. One that comes to mind is by Nitecore, with a 25.4 mm diameter. One could line the collar of the diffuser with some aluminum tape to get a snug fit.
Did anyone try making a diffuser that is water/liquid filled?

This is what I ordered. I will see how close it fits, but the aluminum tape is a great idea!
Experiment-ing….little 0603 led’s are a PITA! Touchy little critters too…poofed a few! Actually had the little 0603’s fitted in the trit holes……
More Purple than Blue, the Green trits are about twice as Green, but the camera dislikes UV…waiting on the micro band-pass len’s now….might try the band-pass film….we’ll see….

AFAIK There is no “optic nerve resistor”. Only the pair of resistors for the FET (pull down and gate) and the input filter “R4”.
