*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

Last ‘estimate’_ was $50 best I recall.

125,000,000 BsF

around $50 in 2020

Very impressed with Version 2. Long time coming, but seems to be worth it.

Interested — Please add me to the list. Thanks!

Samsung 30Q button tops are pretty popular. You have to be careful when ordering, though, because they make 30Q flat tops also…. same pink color, too.

I’ll take one with no ano, thanks.

Since when is no ano an option

It’s part of the super premium deal.

Wow I thought I was up to date with this but clearly not, where are the details for the super premium deal? Or are you taking the piss?

Hehehehehe. Wishful thinking?

One of the thoughts was to check to see if it would cast any extra or the same to have the LT1 available in other colors, as in Black ano, silver ano, sand ano, and forest-green ano.
Maybe I will check with Barry & Sofirn to see if its a possibility. :sunglasses:

LEGO!!!

Forest green. I’m in. :sunglasses:

Adding a red label gives it that “Coleman” look.

They’ll be making purple next :confounded: :confounded: :confounded:

Green would be great. Maybe a bright color like the orange the S2+ comes in would be good too, to make it more visible. I think silver would be better for that but orange just looks cool.

The green and tan colors of my Siege say to me, “Take me camping!” They just seem like the perfect outdoorsy colors for any lantern.

Please add me for one. (:

Thank you for the idea. The unprotected flat top work well in the BLF A6, especially for turbo. Great battery. Is a button top 30Q overkill for this lantern? Maybe a button top that is a little cheaper? I am new to this hobby and am still figuring it out - runtime vs brightness, etc. thanks again

Button top is NECESSARY for this lantern. You don’t need it to be protected, but a flat top cell will not make contact (at least not reliably) with the positive contact ring on the driver. The reason a flat top works in a lot of lights is because those have a spring at the driver. This lantern will not have a spring at the driver, only a brass contact ring.

the 30Q is a high-drain / high-current cell rated at 3000 mAh, its not necessary to have high-drain cells, but they are good for the price point vs. capacity. Higher capacity cells are better option, those in the 3400 ~3500 mAh range for longer run times. Button-tops are required like the Q8. Its easy to add a solder button though to flat top cells.
