[M4D deal ACTIVE] LiitoKala Lii-500S groupbuy

18350 is listed in the product description on BangGood and Aliexpress:

Whoever designed the packaging, forgot to include it.

Got mine today. I don’t have time to plug it in and play with it, but I did check to see if my Rofis protected 21700 battery woud fit. Nope, no way.
My flat top Sofirn 21700 cells fit easily, but the protected 21700 is way too long. Bending the sliding tab won’t work because the cell is too long to fit inside the plastic housing, not just the charge slot.

I don’t understand why charger manufactures don’t just take their 18650 designs and add 5mm to the length. Problem solved.

Just curious…. Anyone who got shipping notice on 23 June have any movement on their tracking yet?

Or is it like mine and still says “Logistics order created”.

I’m figuring/hoping mine will start moving by at least 27 June.

Hi, I was wondering what is the voltage of a 18650 battery freshly charged off the charger?
Thanks Specialk

A regular 4.2 V 18650 will ideally be 4.2 V fully charged.

But in reality most chargers terminate at around 4.18 V - 4.1V.

I have a few chargers that will charge to 4.22 v to 4.25 v which is a little detrimental to the lifetime of the battery. So I try to check reviews and owners results before buying.

@specialk, I would recommend the MiBoxer C4-12 then.

Always chargers at 4,18-4,19V. About perfect.

Yeah, I have one or two that go to 4.22 V, batteries immediately off the charger. But they drop quickly. Bad or not bad… I really don’t worry about it. Much higher… I might.

I usually overthink and worry about little details. If I remember the charger that would overcharge was a Miller ml106 and xtar queen ant and xtar mc1 plus.

:slight_smile::+1:

Nice… mine finally actually SHIPPED. :+1:

Has this offer expired?

I want this deal so bad!

I have it already. I want a charger that can discharge batteries.

This one can discharge batteries.

My tracking # works now. I’m a happy camper at this moment.

The valid range is 4.15v - 4.25v. But, I like it to be on the lower end of that range. It’s sometimes tough to tell, exactly, since (as you say) cells will drop their voltage 10mV or 20mV pretty fast when they’re done charging.

Most of my chargers seem to result in voltages around 4.18v when I take them off the charger. So, I suspect they’re actually being charged to 4.20v at the point of termination. Most chargers usually terminate the CV phase when they’re only putting in about 100mA of charge to the cell to hold it at 4.20v.

I found this thread b/c I already own a Lii-500 charger and wondered if there was a newer version. So I have a couple of questions for those who have received the Lii-500S.

I have a problem with my Lii-500 charging 16340 batteries. There isn’t enough spring tension in the rack and so often the battery doesn’t register. Have they fixed this issue on the Lii-500S?

I see the Lii-500S like the Lii-500 doesn’t charge all 4 bays at full charge. When only 2 bays are used they get full power but when 4 bays are full they step down the charge.

I own a couple of Xtar 18700 batteries and they fit in the Lii-500 but it is tight.

I also own a Nitecore D2 which used to charge to my batteries to 4.22 but on the newest 3000+ 18650s and 1100+18350s it only charges to 4.20. But if I put them into the Lii-500 they only sit in the charger for less than a minute and it registers 4.22 and then shows finished. I can’t explain why the D2 doesn’t go to 4.22 on these newest batteries.

Thanks

My early model lii 500 always shows 4.22 on the screen but only shows 4.19 - 4.18 on my DMM. The measurement must be under load.
