Which movie did you watch lastֻ

Speaking of Rifftrax, lol  , I recently saw the MST3K version of Mitchell. Had me cracking up!

Alita: Battle Angel
Great movie! if you like cyberpunk, the books or anything with futuristic settings… watch it!

I had no idea this movie existed until recently.

Made for HBO movie starring Fred Ward with Julianne Moore & Clancy Brown. A pulpy noir urban fantasy yarn set in a late 40’s Los Angeles where magic (and mythical creatures) are real. Ward plays detective H. Philip Lovecraft who gets roped into a search for …wait for it….the Necronomicon.

I just saw...

Phantasm (1979)

It has pretty good music, fitting for a horror film.

Unfortunately, the rest of the movie was terrible.

When I start watching a movie, I generally watch the whole thing.

I felt like abandoning this film repeatedly.

And to think, they made four sequels to this worthless movie!

I will not be watching the sequels.

Mmm, I just found a copy lying around somewhere. That and the Mother one should be on my watch-list…

Huh… I think I “saw” that movie a bunch of times, but still can’t recall what it’s about, other than Angus Young chasing people around with tres kewl spheres with fondue-forks in front. Pretty sure he drove a hearse, too, for whatever reason.

Oooh, that looks interesting! Never heard of it before, either.

That's the one!

It was so bad it reminded me of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982), but that movie actually had decent actors in it.

At least H3 was (unintentionally?) hilarious. The kid’s head turning into bugs had me practically rolling on the floor laffing.

And it was nice to see Daniel O’Herlihy landing on his feet when Silver Shamrock went under, and getting a job at OCP.

And here at work, the October 20somethings always has me chanting the “X more days to Hallowe’en” ditty, much to the annoyance of everyone around me.

Last Halloween, I was singing that song to my family as well.

It got stuck in my head!

It’s on Amazon Prime streaming.

I saw The Loved Ones (2009).

I don't usually watch two movies in one day, but I did today.

The film was okay.

Parts of the movie are slow, and other parts brutally violent and disturbing.

Don't let the kids see this one!

At least the movie wasn't stupid like the other one I saw today.

Pfft. Works wonders sometimes.

“You better behave, or else!”

“Or else what?”

“Remember the girl in the movie with the belt-sander??”

“Eep!”

I’ve recently watched Vertical Limit again. The last time I saw this movie was in 2008.

Great movie. Strongly recommend.

Well I said I wouldn’t do anything from TV but I was caught off guard by a movie I recorded from TMC.

One of my first movies that actually scared me as a kid was “Ghost Story”. I don’t generally give much credence to ghost stories but I just watched “Winchester” which is (loosely) based on the Winchester Mystery House story. It’s a local attraction (San Jose Ca.) that I haven’t gotten around to checking out. Very good, I was surprised at the mediocre rating it got and I’ll probably watch it again tonight. I never watch the same movie 2 days in a row.

Czeching out both, tnx!

Spiderman Into The Spider-Verse On Netflix now.

Really good, great animation, starts a little slow but highly enjoyable.

I saw this at the theatre months ago.

I thought it was amazingly good!

I just saw...

The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005).

There's the PG-13 version, and the Unrated version.

I saw the Unrated version, which could easily pass for PG-13.

I don't know what the extra three minutes were, but they weren't offensive.

I thought it would be a horror movie.

Nope, it's mostly a courtroom drama, with some mystery and thriller elements.

There are some horror elements, but they're not that scary.

It was a pretty gripping drama, but not good enough to make it into the "Favorite movies of all time ?" thread.
