What you got today

New arrival. Got me a great headlamp. I just can’t get enough of these Sofirn lights. The quality for the price is unreal. The customer service is top notch with Zoe She.

Convoy M3 XHP70.2 4300 LM. The fit and finish is top notch, like all other Convoys.

Emisar D4S & an Amutorch AL1.

The AL1 now comes with a titanium tailcap instead of the plastic one they originally had. Ironically part of why I ordered it was the absurdity of an aluminum head, Ti body & plastic tailcap all on the same light. lol

This thing.

Have only done a quick check for obvious bad caps, I’ll definitely replace some for good measure - it’s close to 50 years old - but it’s looking good so far.

Copper…

Acebeam TK16 CU with Osram LEDs. Good UI, reminds me Anduril with shortcuts to moonlight and turbo. The only thing that I’d change is lockout - very looong press from off is too long. The clip is so-so. With bezel down position (pictured) it’s hard to unscrew the head. Phone camera detects PWM on moonlight only.

Edit:

Added comparison pictures with other LEDs to the album.

Three different LEDs (Nichia 5000K, Osram 6500K, Samsung 4000K) under carclo 10507 (different WB):

With white flat 2mm2 in BLF A6 OP reflector:

TK16 alone (in real life artifacts are not so visible):

Purty (both of the last two posts).

Got my new Raspberry Pi 4, 4GB RAM two days ago, forgot to post it.
Finally a decent pi for excellent desktop work. It does everything a normal computer would do, only a few drivers and the BIOS update are missing. They will come soon enough. For all basic desktop applications and youtube this is more than fast. you can not do 4K video editing, but most regular computers wouldn’t be able to either.

It runs with an active fan atm, but I will gradually try to find a solution without active cooling. Let’s see how it will work out.

Also got another Pi zero for a new pi-hole setup.

The S2+ is old though, just to make the picture more BLF relevant

Got a SS bezel for my FT02 today, looks good I think.

Had the pcb’s, finally got the pins yesterday and built this last night!

Not today, but Monday I got a fantastic UltraFire UF-T1 from CRX, and Tuesday my DQG Slim 1/2AA and extension tube (both Ti) came in. Pictured below with my D25C Ti.

The UF-T1 is using 10250s, and CRX included two batteries and a tiny little magnetic charger. It is a boatload of fun and brighter than it has any right to be. So compact and light I’m terrified I’ll clip it somewher, forget it, and send it through the wash.
The DQG Slim Ti, I will never take the extender off of. I’m planning to run it with a 14500 normally, because if I grab Shockli’s 1000mAh that’s better energy density than my other options (3.6Wh for Li-Ion, 3.12 for quality NiMh, and diddly-squat for Alkaline). While it has some strange memory quirk sometimes, it has great compatability with NiMh and Alkaline in the most common battery size I can think of, while also being among the smallest 14500 lights I know of. That means it’s actually usefully smaller than my SC62, and worth the battery downgrade compared to something like my TG06S, which I swear has nearly identical dimensions to the SC62 (I compared, but am apart from the lights at the time of writing). And, hey, it’s Titanium, that’s cool too  :+1:
Oops, I forgot to include my other Ti light. Bonus pics:
All lights on their respective lowest modes:

New blue Ti hardware finally showed up today for my ZT0456CF. Not sure if I like the blue blackspacer or the pins better.

Blade aligned perfectly after also.

Wow. You sure you might not have removed any battery compartment plastic covers preventing power flow …maybe?

I got a couple the past few days. Nightwatch NI40 and a Emisar D4S

Two Vapcell 18650s, black INR 2800mAh. They came in a snazzy little pouch that I’m tempted to use as a pocket organiser.

I wonder how that NI40 compares to an FT03

I have both. Here are the pics. First is FT03 SST40, I have the XHP50.2 in route and will post pics then.

I got the Astrolux MF02, here it is vs FT03

Last image link is broken, rikr. Thanks for the fix!

Two Molicell 21700s from LIION…and they included a free gift, one of the ubiquitous 3xAAA zoomies. lol
