I am missing the Lumintop built Fritz FW3A (Anduril).

The final production versions are already mentioned on the list, f.e. the TLF/BLF FW3A, B, C, S and T version, ...

As for the original Fritz design in bare aluminum, only a small hand made batch was pursued but never went into full production.

Other than the PL47, are any headlamps available with BLF designed UI?

Currently there are no other known production flashlights with BLF UI available, although many others could be "flashable" with BLF firmware ;-)

The Sofirn SP10S BLF Anduril edition is already in production? That would be good news as it likely will be the first AA/14500 light using Anduril…

Er, another small correction. It looks like the BLF D80 v2 is using a derivative of Flintrock’s Bistro HD, not Bistro.

They sound like almost the same thing because of the name, but they only actually share a few scattered bits of code in common. I think most of the UI is similar, since it’s aimed at being kinda the same as far as the user is concerned, but some things are different and I’m not sure what. The list of changes is longer than the original user manual, and the code changes themselves are several times larger than the original code.

I’m a little worried about the D80 v2 since Bistro HD was really buggy last time I tried it, and I don’t think it has ever been used in production before. Not sure if Flintrock got it to a stable state before he left.

When you say “buggy”, can you provide us some examples of what to look out for (eg. doing this mode to the flashlight, may result in this unexpected result…) — also those who got prototype of BLF D80v2 for testing, would have some idea of what conditions to test them on…

It has been a while. Last time I tried it, he was working on making it function on e-switch lights. It was meant to respond exactly the same as if it was used on a clicky-switch light, so the LEDs would turn off any time the button was pressed. Odd UI choice, but I guess I get why it was done that way. In any case, about all I remember is that it would kinda just fall apart in less than a minute while clicking to navigate the interface. In 5 minutes I probably ran into ~8 different failure modes, so I categorized it in my head as something to look into later after it was more developed.

But when it’s using OTSM instead of an e-switch, I’m not sure what to expect. I’m guessing it’s more solid when used that way, since that was what it had originally been meant to run on.

Just random comments, regarding Anduril version (revision number)…

I notice that although the Astrolux EC01 was released later than the Astrolux MF01S, the Anduril firmware on the EC01 doesn’t have the 2-level brightness on Lockout mode, whereas the Astrolux MF01S has it.

Lumintop FW3A uses different firmware. The first batch (like the one I have), doesn’t have the “2-level lockout”, but someone showed me an FW3A (not modified) that has 2-level lockout, which indicates it’s now using a newer Anduril revision.

I find it strange that the EC01 uses an older Anduril firmware than the MF01S, despite it being released later than the MF01S though…
(I wonder how difficult it may be to flash an updated Anduril firmware on the EC01?)

I did the firmware for the MF01S. Didn’t even know the EC01 existed until just now though. Not sure who supplied its firmware or what version it uses or how it was configured.

Technically that means its creators are in violation of the license, since the configuration and build info are part of the “corresponding source” which is required, and the link given for the EC01 doesn’t have any information about the EC01’s configuration or build. I haven’t tried to resolve that yet though, since I didn’t know about it until a moment ago. Looks like another case where people tried to follow the license but didn’t fully understand how, so I doubt it’ll be difficult to fix.
