I didn’t think 3D was supposed to be “rosy”, but it shouldn’t be as green as the picture above either. Life is like a box of chocolates with tints sometimes. You never know what you’re gonna get. There is a range within each tint bin too.
I really wanted to get a 7A, but talked myself out of it, at least so far, because it is SO warm. I’m still tempted though . I really wish we could have had a 5A or 5D option.
After holding back, it is time to chime in about the 7A. I like warm tints, but this thing is totally ORANGE. Every time I use the 7A it is like being transported to an Arizona desert and no, I do not use drugs. The first time I turned it on I immediately thought the kids will love this thing on Halloween! I almost fell down some stairs outside the house from being mesmerized by the desert look of everything around me. Of course, others may have rose tints or a liking for orange…. and this is just one opinion.
I like it. Yes, it’s very warm, and it does make things look a bit unnatural. It’s not a light for outdoors. It’s a light for a incandescent-like mood light for indoors. Watching TV, etc.
It might be better if it was high-CRI. I think the Emissar D4v2 offers 3000K in a high-CRI SST-20 LED.
