Sofirn SP33 extra battery

I am looking to get a couple of extra batteries for my SP33. I don’t know much about batteries but I do know that there are high drain batteries as well as high capacity. My question is really about the discharge. I am looking at the longest run time possible so obviously I want more mAh. Some discharge at 45a some at 30a and even less than that. What should I be looking for? Should I be looking for a lower and discharge rate? Right now I’m thinking the AWT 5200mah 45a discharge may work best but I may just buy two of the Sofirn 5500mah since they are the same price.

Get the Vapcell 5500 mah or Shockli 5500 mah. They are basically the same cell of different wrap. I think they are the highest 26650 cells on the market right now.

Should I be worried about unprotected cells? Does the Sofirn flashlight have built-in circuitry protection? I have two 18650 flashlights but all I use are protected cells. I’m worried about accidentally running a battery below a safe voltage.

The Sofirn SP33 has low voltage protection and reverse polarity protection.

You won’t have any problem with lights recommended by BLF in that regard.

Vapcell 26650 capacity 5900 mAh

So, still looking for clarification. I ordered two 26650 batteries. One
is a Shockli that is rated at 20A continuous output and the other is an AWT that is rated at 45A continuous Output. Will these differences in AMP output affect the performance of the flashlight? I have noticed that with the stock Sofirn battery it will only run on turbo for a minute or two and then the flashlight operates without turbo being available but still operates fine. I’m wondering if the hydrangea 45A AWT battery will be able to support the turbo mode better than the 20A battery. Am I looking too far into this?

Ok, learning lots thanks to this forum. Can anyone confirm that the Sofirn SP33 will take the Shockli battery? I read that it’s slightly larger than a standard 26650 battery at 26.7mm. I’m currently on vacation and my flashlight is at home. Before I confirm that I want to order 3 additional batteries, I would like to know they fit.
